Milliner, Warmack top draft lists

Dee Milliner

As the top cornerback in the draft, Alabama's Dee Milliner will likely be a very early pick.

Alabama cornerback Dee Milliner may be in high demand during the upcoming NFL Draft, with guard Chance Warmack challenging him to be the first Crimson Tide player selected:

Several mocks have Lacy being the first RB selected...which is what I believe will happen

    • I hope lacy is the first back taken.I don't see how lattimore could possibly go ahead of a healthy lacy.it appeared he tore every ligament and muscle on that hit.

    • This is exactly why Mel Kiper has lost all credibility to me and many other people. I have no problem stating that Lacy is the 4th best RB (I disagree but its his opinion) but to put him behind Lattimore, a RB that has had 2 major knee injuries and likely won't be able to play for a team next year This will keep lattimore out of the first 3 rounds.

    • I'm hoping my Packers get Fluker in the 1st & Jones in the 2nd. Green Bay needs to get better on both lines & taking two off of the best offensive line in CFB this year would be a great step in that direction.

    • Would love for Eddie to be a Packer...GB has needed a consisitent RB for a while.

      I'd take Barrett as well...

      Moose Johnston

    • I honestly think that sometimes there's a lag about a player's draft stock rising and falling when you're talking about a situation like this.

Here's why. He, and others like Todd McShay, talk to a number of people around the league, and even though Lacy looked great in the BCS Championship game, the buzz has to go from the scouts and those studying the tape, up the ranks and then finally is heard by guys like Kiper a couple of weeks later.

Seen it before and I'll see it again. I'll bet anything his next rankings have Lacy higher.

Mel Kiper began losing his credibility during both the Quinn and Clausen fiascos. Dude loves him some ND players whether they are top shelf or not. Same with the D front players for them he overrated this year. Oddly enough he never pumped Golden Tate or Justin Tuck their two best players in the league this decade.

Makes sense. I really hope we can have 4 go in the 1st round.

Agree...latt was a great back but that injury isnt going to just heal right up and him not miss a beat. he wasnt even the same back this year he was his freshman year....i woudlnt use a first rounder on any running back though

    • As we have seen in years past all our guys are going to get the Alabama, Saban coached, most NFL ready bumps...I believe you'll see at least three to first round, four most likely, potentially 5 depending on combine performances, etc. I can see a guy like Jones going late first, just because of who he is and what he accomplished, going to a team that wants a low risk pick in the first round. Jessie has an outside shot as does EL.
I can see Dee and Chance both going top five if teams trade up, especially Dee.

    • As in past years, our guys will get their bumps and grade out higher beasue of Saban's system. All of the elements that make up the "Process" are reasons for this imo.

    • After the combine, I bet anything J. Williams will be a first round lock eg. Poe. Last year he reported ran a 4.75 and a 4.82 or so and did 55 reps of 225. If he puts up those numbers with his size.....1st round lock.
