I think a lot of people forget that there's seven new starters, and the defense had so many guys get drafted. The defense is pretty darn good, it just doesn't have the same experience as last year's D.

2011 was best IMO.

That's kind of one of the offseason things that I like to do, and really crunch the numbers, but I'm with you that 2011 was the best. This year's is up there, but that defense last year is going to be tough to top.

I think you got it right with Howard- he would be my best bet. There are still spots out there but a few names that pop out would be Allen, DB's (depending on how they finish at CB), a few RB's given the rotation, and then Tunsil (should he pick UA) and Grant Hill could potentially step in the second year.

Leon Brown should have a very good shot at right tackle. Saban has a good track record of bringing JUCO guys that contribute immediately.
