BOL Round Table

I've been saying it since last summer, there's no way in hell Jameis Winston passes on the chance to play football, based on where he gets drafted in the MLB draft.

I don't have any inside sources & I come to BOL for ALL my recruiting info, but I know enough about the the MLB draft process to know who to listen to & when high 1st round draft picks (which, IMO, with the new collective bargaining agreement that everybody could see coming a mile away, was going to be where Winston would have to wind up getting drafted in order to pass on at least pushing the decision back 3 years in order to find out what his NFL potential may be) start getting talked about by those people, to know that it was going to take a senior season of gigantic proportions for Winston to wind up becoming a 1st round draft pick, or for any club to consider paying him enough to pass on going to college.

Obviously, that senior season hasn't happened yet, so anything's still possible. But I know I hadn't heard guys like Keith Law or Jonathon Mayo even mention Winston's name, as of last summer, & I'm fairly sure they still haven't so much as brought him up, & it just doesn't happen where guys who are set to make big time signing bonuses get this little fanfare, this late in their highschool careers.
