No I haven't and I have no doubts SC has poured millions into facilities just like Bama has. The facilities at Bama are night and day improved vs when I was there and it's be foolish for me to assume anything different at SC. My comment was more generally directed at the community comparisons of LA and South Bend vs Tuscaloosa...if he's looking for something most closely resembling home, I don't think he really gets that in SB, and no way he gets it in LA.

There's something special about a driven California athlete. I'm totally generalizing here, but having spent time out there, their (soCal people, not Hollywood turds) overall view on life and enjoying life and dealing with adversity is a different angle compared to the rest.

To the guy who didn't know whether to be excited about vanderdoes or his ranking. This guy uses his hands better than any defensive lineman that I've watched on tape in years. He can also over power people at the point of attack, especially at the 3 technique. This guy reminds me of a David Pollack from Georgia and Chad Lavalais from LSU hybrid if that makes sense. Can play both the 3 technique and 5 technique very well.

Too bad there's not a football game atmosphere. I still believe he's going to come away with so much more than he has at the Cali schools and ND...I've been to all three of those campuses and inside facilities, albeit 20+ years ago, at ND and SC and there not a comparison. I also believe the size of Tuscaloosa is going to appeal to him as his locale in CA is not big city as its a fairly distant suburb of Sacramento. I've said before, something makes this connect for me and feel right. I thinks it's going to materialize.
