I've been to all three of those campuses and inside facilities, albeit 20+ years ago, at ND and SC and there not a comparison.

I don't think you have seen the John McKay Center yet. It is ridiculously nice.

He's not from SoCal...granted he's looking at two schools there, but from his interviews he just doesn't fit the mold you describe here IMO.

Yeah my post wasn't real clear. I wasnt posting towards the player ...just a general response to seabreezs post. Should have made that more clear.

That tall building in the back is where those two students were getting it on up on the roof last year.

No I haven't and I have no doubts SC has poured millions into facilities just like Bama has. The facilities at Bama are night and day improved vs when I was there and it's be foolish for me to assume anything different at SC. My comment was more generally directed at the community comparisons of LA and South Bend vs Tuscaloosa...if he's looking for something most closely resembling home, I don't think he really gets that in SB, and no way he gets it in LA.

  • Love to see the opportunity to pull an elite west coast talent. Not only do we get a great prospect, but it strengthens our national recruiting base. Come on down EV. Roll tide

Yep, of the facilities I've seen USC and Texas are the two that have made the biggest improvements to their facilities, other than BAMA. I've seen a video tour of the Oregon facilities and lets just say that all that Nike money has been put to good use but they still have a ways to go. ND is playing catch-up too from what I've heard. All BAMA needs is that new recruiting complex and they'll be untouchable.

Sounds giddy and jacked about it...can't be anything but good news because you know he's not going to be disappointed when he gets there and the experience unfolds.

It's a beautiful day in Tuscaloosa today, too.

There's something special about a driven California athlete. I'm totally generalizing here, but having spent time out there, their (soCal people, not Hollywood turds) overall view on life and enjoying life and dealing with adversity is a different angle compared to the rest.

Im born and raised from Cali, not sure I follow what you wrote here??

  • To the guy who didn't know whether to be excited about vanderdoes or his ranking. This guy uses his hands better than any defensive lineman that I've watched on tape in years. He can also over power people at the point of attack, especially at the 3 technique. This guy reminds me of a David Pollack from Georgia and Chad Lavalais from LSU hybrid if that makes sense. Can play both the 3 technique and 5 technique very well.

Yep I agree...a faster Marcel Dareus/Jessie Williams...his film is worth watching. Great lateral movement when he reads run wide and screen.

Economy comfort is the way to fly. Made my trip to Phoenix pleasant.

As a man both tall and wide I am very curious about this. Not trying to hijack the thread but can you tell me about the economy comfort?

Lets see - go to ND... get embarassed by SEC schools in bowls and have fake, dead girlfriends that end up being dudes.. OR - play for Nick Saban.

Exactly. If you believe Teo than Notre Dame's star player was literally jacking off exclusively for three years in college. A star football player? I mean I don't see how you could possibly entertain Notre Dame with those facts.

Too bad there's not a football game atmosphere. I still believe he's going to come away with so much more than he has at the Cali schools and ND...I've been to all three of those campuses and inside facilities, albeit 20+ years ago, at ND and SC and there not a comparison. I also believe the size of Tuscaloosa is going to appeal to him as his locale in CA is not big city as its a fairly distant suburb of Sacramento. I've said before, something makes this connect for me and feel right. I thinks it's going to materialize.

New facilities should impress him too

alley, would you like some sodium with those steaks? Dales is ok but way too much sodium and it takes away from the flavor of the meat.
