Uh, certainly NOT commit another crime. I can't even understand this line of thinking. 2 charges will carry much greater chances of jail time than one. Especially if its a first offense type of thing. Even a gun charge. So NO I don't think one says, screw it, I'm screwed, lets go steal something or buy stuff with stolen cards.
I mean if your thinking that way - I doubt you do something this small (amount wise small that is)

Exactly, Williams probably turned a minor infraction into something that may end his career. Is this another example of why student athletes need a stipen?

other way around. calloway was charged with using the card. the other three are charged with stealing it (among other things).

Sounds horrible and looks bad. I will wait for their side of the story obviously but that's a bad arrest and if true will probably result in all four being off the team and maybe even going to jail. Calloway probably has the best chance to survive legally but hard to see him staying on the team if true.

"Because otherwise they might be out robbin' folks" is probably not how I'd sell the proposal for stipends.

Both are horrible which is what I think your saying. But if what is being reported is true, the crime of stealing the card is extremely awful. IF whats now coming out about HOW they got the card. Gotta go for sure. IF these stories are true - there is NO CHANCE they remain on this football team.

Kinda makes Honeybadgers situation seem not so big.
If this all turns out to be what is being reported, I do hope they are all let go.
I'm most disappointed in Eddie Williams. It's my own doing to have this perception of him, but I felt the way he went about his recruitment was exemplary of how his ethics and hard work were. Totally wrong on
My part
Probably makes me rethink judging someone like Reuben Foster for his wacky recruitment. One really doesn't have anything to do with the other.
My lesson learned.

These guys need to be kicked off the team ASAP. I understand that there is the legal process that has to be played out and being a police officer I'm sure that some of these charges will be dismissed and so forth but for the PD to have enough PC to obtain warrants there is obviously a certain level of guilt. And there is no room for any of this.
