It was at home though. On a neutral floor we did not really show we were the better team like we did today.

No kidding! Jacobs played much better for most of the game, finally. He, to me, was still very slow in our zone defense and luckily we weren't hurt by it. Thank you backcourt defense! Whats sick is NJ had 12 rebounds and couldve had a few more if he wasnt so mentally fatigued. But, he played a different role today and he did it good enough to help with one of our BIGGEST weaknesses, rebounding. Congrats on his 4th career double digit rebounding performance. We're gonna need another rebounding effort against FLA. I wanna see more of THAT Nick Jacobs from now on. UT played a bad game, period. But they played bad because of our solid backcourt defense and offense. We only had 5 assists! Why? Because we dribble drove them to death.
Now, on Lacey. I cant for the life of me understand why CAG sees it as a good thing to take the ball away from TR for more than 6-8 game minutes. Everyone knows his game and its not dribbling and creating! Dribbling for 5 seconds above the key (while the shot clock continues to hit 5 secs) and hitting a high arching shot doesnt constitute as dribbling and creating either, just to be clear! Its catching and shooting and good perimeter defense. Thats TL's game. He cant pass, he cant dribble good enough and when he does he dribbles for 15-20 seconds of the shot clock. Retin and TR are our 1 guards, period. I'd rather have Levi bring it up than TL.
Here's to hoping that he implement the back door cut and baselines against FLA. They will pressure us and that will be open all night, as it is normally with a Billy Donovan coached team. This actually requires us to cut TO the basket with a purpose of scoring! I wanna win this tournament so bad, its time we win one of these. RTR
