Agree with Bolden. The rule needs to be changed. This one and done crap is ruining college basketball and the NBA. They should change it back to players being able to go right after high school or make them stay 3 years like football. Or have both. If they don't go straight out of hs they have to stay 3 years. College and the NBA were so much better when players like Jordan, Ewing, Barkley, etc stayed in college for several years. I believe this improved the NBA also because fans had a reason to follow those guys in the NBA. They also were able to develop their talent further before playing in the pros so they were unbelievable by the time they got there. Just my 2 cents.

I think its a product of coaches coaching a more physical style of basketball. The refs have lost control on the game and now allow more contact than ever before.
This is in particular why there is a such a huge discrepancy in home versus away play by all teams. When on the road you are subjected to a beating that very teams and players can over come.
The increased "fouling" has also caused there to be an across the board reduction in inside scoring. Nobody is good enough to overcome the pushing and shoving that is going in the paint. Then if you go on the road and try and score down low you can kiss that good bye.
Until officiating can get a handle on what is and isn't a foul and then figure out how to call that consistently for both the home and the away team we are going to continue to see a deterioration of the game at the collegiate level.
For goodness sakes, Kentucky had 3 starters foul out at Tennessee the other night. In their previous game at home they may not have had 15 total team fouls. Look back at what Auburn, to be specific Rob Chubb, were allowed to do in Auburn versus us then at Kentucky he is hit with 2 quick fouls and on the bench plus another post player got a T'd up for a shove under the basket.
Coaches can't blame officials but fans most certainly can. I blame coaches for teaching what is fouling and calling it defense but I also blame officials for their inability to call a game.
