Nothing sad about it. He covered for that nasty bastard. Winning a lot of games and pretending to be a model citizen doesn't excuse him for that.

No, it is sad. Yes it does appear that he covered up.

My point is tat for a man who spent 50 plus years improving peoples lives to have one decision or series of decisions destroy his legacy, it's sad.

He wasn't pretending btw but he did let loyalty/rep/maybe even $ cloud his decision making ability.

Can we just give him the injection? Seriously, what's the point of giving him life in prison (which is what he'll get)? He'll spend the rest of his life in an expensive hell hole on the tax payers' dime. I don't even want to imagine what will happen to him on the inside.

As for Joe Pa, I think we need to take a step back. On the whole, he did a lot of great things for a lot of people as well as the university. He shouldn't have covered up Sandusky's transgressions, which even he admitted was a mistake, but the man is gone and showed remorse while he was here - try not to make this the only thing you judge him by.
