NO, it has to do with taking his plant leg, and kicking leg landing area away. YES, the kicker acted and got the call but live action it looks much worse than what we got to see in replays. The rule goes into the kickers ability to bring his kicking leg down cleanly without a player interfering. It is always called in a play just like that whether the kicker ags it on or not.
Now, if the Baltimore player had been blocked or pushed into that area - NO Foul. Ever.

He's a smart guy, very smart....met him once in Roseville, CA where the Niners used to have their Spring Training. Small little bar with pool tables that he and 3 other players came in to waste some time after a practice. I was surprised at his height. Not a huge guy at all. But. LOL even QB's don't always know the full rules.
(b) slides under the kicker, preventing him from returning both feet to the ground. This is the part of the rule I was talking about.
That was even part of the rule the other poster was posting in making his point. (the full rule post is on the previous page) but there it is in print. He just missed the part I was talking about which is listed above. But yeah, doesn't matter one bit. BAMA guys got their Super Bowl rings now.
