*** SEC Tournament bracket set

  • The 2013 Southeastern Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament returns to Bridgestone Arena in Nashville for the fourth time. The five-day tournament tips-off on Wednesday, March 13, and runs through Sunday, March 17.

A limited number of reserved books for the 2013 Southeastern Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament are on sale through www.SECsports.com. Several institutions have released additional tickets to the general public. Fans can log onto the ticket page of www.SECsports.com and follow the links to the institutions’ websites for purchase.

Additionally, tickets for Session One of the tournament are currently on sale for $15 each and are valid for 300-Level general admission seating only.

  • I need to figure out a way to get off work early Friday. Was told we cannot take off early any this week.

    Is it still flu season?

There's a bad 24-hour stomach bug going around. Hope that helps.

Let's hope I get this Thursday afternoon then.

Then again, the last time I wasn't able to watch a Bama SEC tournament game was when we throttled Tennessee in '02...

  • Say what you want about the draw we got- but I'm PUMPED to have another shot at Florida. I hate those guys so much. They are NOT that much better than us- we HAD them in Gainesville but refs and untimely cold streaks bailed them out. We can absolutely beat them Saturday if we get there. Come on boys!!

  • This should be a pretty exciting and competitive tourney. I think we have as good of a chance to win as anyone. Tennessee comes in hot winning eight of nine and they get to play in their home state. Hopefully we can take a decent crowd to Nashville and maybe we'll have the Vandy and UK guys on our side as well.

We only got 4 points and 2 rebounds from Jacobs the last time we played Tennessee. Hopefully Jacobs will play like he has over these past five games (12 points, 6.8 rebounds, 29.6 minutes).

I like the chance of getting another matchup against Florida too. I'd like to see what we can do against them away from Gainesville and the home refs. The Gators have come back down to earth going 3-3 in their last six. I think our guys would definitely get up for a chance to play their way into the tournament against Florida.

On the other side, I'd like to play Ole Miss in the finals just to have a chance to punk Henderson, but i'll be pulling for Mizzou to knock off the OM and Kentucky. We need the other SEC bubble teams to lose.

If we win two we will have a shot on selection Sunday, but if we win two then i like our chances in the finals. Should be fun...

  • Will the tournament be blacked out on espn3 in Alabama? Wsfa out of Montgomery is not showing the tournament accordinig to my Direct tv guide, would love to watch the whole tournament. I wonder if the SEC digital channel will carry the tournament on line?

If we meet Tennessee, we have to keep Stokes off the boards and stay out of early foul trouble. Plus we can't let McCrae take over like the did the 2nd half in Knoxville.

If we get to Florida, I think we could take them down. They did shut us down in the 2nd half, but it wasn't like they outplayed us. They only made 4 shots in the last 8 minutes and 2 of those were breakaway layups in the last minute. The difference in the game was the fouls and free throws. We really frustrated their guards and are more physical than they are out there.

The way Georgia is playing I wouldn't be shocked to see them pull one off against Florida either.

  • I'm not going to get to watch any of it most likely but I will be following the threads. Some great matchups for proving we belong.

    Wash your hands, folks.

If only I lived in Nashville already instead of this summer. The SEC tourney is cool to catch live.
