Saban starts off by talking about the overall approach by everyone at the school, not just the coaching staff, and gives credit to all those involved.

Everyone always says we like the guys that we got, we had a good recruiting year, but it's hard to make predictions about where guys will be a couple of years from now.

Feel like we have a really good character class, which is important, and a lot of guys with size and speed that they covet.

Compares recruiting to buying stocks, you can never really tell where it might be in a couple of years.

Gives credit to fans and players.

Thought it was important that every guy who committed did sign today.

Saban just took a small shot at the newspaper for listing 40-plus guys to keep an eye on because it changed the focus to guys they didn't get from the ones they did.

Just gave a West Virginia analogy: Just because the pup may have the biggest feet doesn't mean it will grow into a prize hunting dog (Love that)

Question about the running backs - Saban basically said they know they have one 1,000-yard running back coming and then they don't know due to injuries.

Things more global with recruiting, although prime recruiting territory is within five-hour drive.
