Agree. Not only is it dirty and unethical, but it's dangerous as hell.

Tim Walton seems like the type of toolbag that would do it, too. Assume they check at the WCWS level, but I stand by my opinion that something screwy was going on that Sunday when they beat us twice to advance. They got in Kelsi's head but some of those balls were leaving the stadium completely, and UF didn't seem to even be swinging it that well on a couple that left.

Also interesting, some of their girls who weren't power hitters but were bombing away two years ago came back last year and saw their numbers go down. Things that make you go "hmmmm....".

Cheaters will always find a way to cheat!

There was one team that was playing in the ASA WS in Orlando in the 10U last summer, 10 year old for goodness sake, that was using an illegal bat that they hid in the dug out from the umpires who came around before the game to inspect the equipment.

I am sure if these guys can figure out how to do it at that level, they can certainly do it at the college level! But then again there are more eyes on those guys, I don't know?? He is a toolbag.

I can't complain too much about him because his former catcher is currently my daughter's catching coach and her skill set has improved so much since taking lessons with Kristina.

Oh no, this is fast pitch. My starting 12 year old has a 52-53 mph fast ball then comes back with a 32-35 mph change up. You should see those batters knees shake on that combo.

She has a great drop ball and curve ball and is working on her screw ball and rise ball. My second pitcher is about at 47 mph.

And remember at this level, they are pitching from 43'. The level of play is just blows me away when I think of my level of play at 12.

Yea I've played slow pitch mens & coed for over 20yrs. now. & was just saying the usage of shaved bats is at an all time high right now.

Oh yes, it was a Dad on our team that plays slow pitch that first brought it to my attention and explained the whole thing to me. I had no idea what the whole deal was until he explained it to me and he told me how bad it was in his slow pitch league.

He said Worth bats are the easiest to remove the cap, so always be on the look out for those. Do you have any other insite on other bats to be on the look out for?

Worth is most common. Also the Easton Stealth's.
