Let the processing of 3 more begin!

Lacy taking the whole spring off, wow!

The best thing for turf toe is to stay off the turf. We already know what Eddie can do, and we need him to do it next Fall not this Spring. Besides, this will give everyone more reps to compete for #'s 2 & 3 on the depth chart.

For some reason I'd still love to see Bowman work it out. Definitely Carter. Carswell may or may not be a great person from a great family, but I'm tired of undersized receivers getting buried on the roster for a few years until they transfer, and I'm fine with him going.

  • I think one of our 18 signees will miss out academically, so I think we only need 17 spots. I would only expect to see at most 1 of the suspended trio ever return...so it looks like Saban's math skills still work pretty well.

I would love to see Bowman turn it around. I'm starting to wonder if we'll ever see DC play a down for Bama. frustrated

I just posted basically the same thing re: Bowman. I wish he'd get it together. I don't know much about Carswell at all, so I guess I'm okay with it. Carter might end up being one of the best that never was at Bama. banghead

  • Duron Carter = Mike Ford that in some strange parallel universe actually made it on campus. Looks to be another Legend.

My ship of hope has sailed for both players. I'm ready to see if Marvin is actually "Marvelous". If by chance either player does eventually play I will be pleasantly surprised.

I loved getting to watch Shinn play at Vigor. That kid has some serious ball skills and body control in mid air.

  • If DC never plays for us, all I can say is - wow. Can you imagine having the opportunity to play at Ohio State and then Alabama slip through your fingers like this?

I'm already to that point on Bowman, pretty much. Getting close on DC, but still holding out hope. pray

I'm anxious to see what Shinn's got as well, and TiderNFl has got me pretty pumped up about Cooper.

Not to mention Chris Jones, D. White, K. Bell, K. Norwood, Chris Black...

Damn, it really is great to be a Bama fan. bol14

ETA: I can't believe I forgot Woodson. Again, it's great to be a Bama fan.

    Just got official word:

Bowman, Carswell and Carter all still suspended Jay Williams not to return, play baseball Love and Billingsley not to return for fifth year

Calliway to start spring at linebacker

    More later ...

Might be the 1st of a few off-season moves

  • A quick add as I crank out the story - Barrett Jones will start the spring at center. No surprise there, but there you have it.

  • Who knew carter was even suspended? I've never seen such a messed up clusterf*ck for a kid career. Is it spoiled rich kid syndrome? Upper class kiss who wishes he was from the ghetto syndrome? Tyler Love just wanna party syndrome?

The kid has the size and speed to be a stud, and has been coached by one of the greatest wr's of all time. Sounds like Chris needs to get down to Tuscaloosa and make him pick out a switch.

Hell yeah! Sounds like Chris is getting the hang of things. Our OL is going to be absurdly sick next season. Aj could sit in a folding chair behind center next season and throw for 250 yards per game.

  • This whole DC situation is the most f*cked thing I've ever seen. Haven't multiple people said that both DC and his dad have said that DC was eligible and ready to go?

I've held out hope but I'm beginning to think he will never see the field.

DC just gets time-out and lost Playstation privileges for a few hours....whipping a kid's ass in this century might do irreparable damage to his psyche and overall well-being.....

Just try to reason with the young man, and tell him that you love him.....everything will work out...and everybody gets a trophy.....
