“The young men charged are indefinitely suspended as we continue to gather information and talk to the appropriate people. The University and football program have strict guidelines regarding issues of this magnitude. This behavior is unacceptable for any student-athlete at the University of Alabama and not representative of our football program.”

With the admissions they have given, I had hoped for at least the three other than Calloway to be kicked off the team immediately. Not sure what other info is necessary to gather on them.

As with all things Saban, there is a process; and as with all things legal, the process is probably overly complicated. Just a little observation from 38 years of legal practice.....

Due process wouldn't really apply when there's an admission. The facts are undisputed, and attacking fellow students to steal their property is something that clearly warrants dismissal.

Since it looks like you are a lawyer....how about the term due diligence? I agree this won't end well....but full understanding of the facts is always better. Also, I think Calloway may be a different case given he wasn't in the robbery.

Again, they have admitted to what they did, and what they did is something that clearly warrants dismissal (excluding Calloway as what he did isn't fully known). They facts have already been provided by the players themselves. What is it you believe needs to be investigated? There is no circumstance under which what they have admitted to doing is justifiable or excusable.
