Heading bottom second, still no score. Six up, six down for the Bulldogs. Dugas was caught sterling in the first 1-3-6 and the Tide was subsequently quickly retired.

Not a good start to the third inning for Alabama. Brownlee is hit by a pitch and Norris put down a bad bunt with Booth overthrowing second for two on with no outs.

Another sac-bunt puts both runners in scoring position with one out, leadoff hitter Frazier grounds out to short, one run scores.

Fullerton long fly to right that Moore catches at the wall (hits it pretty good too).

Smith strikes out - 1-1 after three innings

With two outs, Miller and Roberts draw walks and Tullidge beats out an infield single.

With Dugas coming up, MSU don't mess around and makes a pitching change. Woodruff out, LHP Girodo in.

Keller in for MSU, immediately gives up a single to Reaves to score Dugas. 5-1.

A bit of a controversial play here at the Joe, but also a heads up one by MSU's Frost. He gets a one-out single and goes to third on a double by Frazier. Fullerton strikes out, but Booth can't handle the pitch and reaches to tag Fullerton - no call by the ump so Booth has to throw to first. On the throw Frost bolts for home and barely beats the throw back.

Booth argues he tagged Fullerton by the ump says he didn't get him.

Anyway, 5-2, heading bottom fifth.

State gets a leadoff double in the fifth, but the runner doesn't advance.

Not sure how many base-runners Reaves has thrown out at first but it's a lot.

Tide gets another run in the sixth. Miller reached on an infield hit, Roberts sac-bunt to advance him to second, Tullidge reaches on an infield hit, Miller to third, Dugas drops down a nice bunt to score Miller.

6-2 through six innings.

First pitch in the seventh goes right off Norris' helmet. He walks to first, they check him and he appears to be ok.

Pitch simply got away from Sullivan there.
