More prayers for DGB's family and their decisions accordingly. He would be the sweep of the 2012 class but Eddie Williams is a HOS who would be a huge add to our team. These kids will see how great Alabama plays this 2011 season (including the BCS Championship game) and realize it's their stepping stone to a great education, character and the NFL. University of Alabama is again a national household football name. I know because I have HS players asking to me "how to get seen by Alabama recruiters" out here on the west coast. We also see more Alabama sports ware out here.

Great update Shane. If we could get either Winston or Kiel at QB it would help us land top receivers like Green-Beckham or Black. Also a defense that is anchored in the middle by Jones or Goldman would make a good LB salivate at the thought of coming free to greet the opposing QB. The possibilities and outlook for the Tide continues to expand. RTR

I too hate to hear about Green-Beckham's brother. Cancer has affected my family in so many ways. My prayers go out to him and his family. If staying close to his family allows him to handle his brother's diagnosis better, this is one top recruit, I would completely understand going to another school.

Yeah, this is the first I've heard of DGB's brother being diagnosed with cancer. What a horrible thing.

He's going to be one of those tremendous athletes who shines wherever he winds up though so I can definitely understand if he would rather stay somewhere closer to home.
