Does nobody teach these guys what the word "commitment" means. He's basically saying, "reserve a spot for me, and if nothing I like better comes along I live up to my word--but if I like someone else better, I'm out."

Because a kid commits to us and multiple people are giving him crap about a comment he made. That's all I am going to say about it, don't want to hijack the thread with an argument

I really don't think it is the kids' faults, it is the terminology that is not correct. A "commitment" is not a commitment and that goes both way. They are playing the recruiting game the way it is being presented to them.
