Our problem is we can't score the ball. How many shots did we miss 12 feet and in tonight? More than enough to win the game.
It is that way every loss.
When our guys decide to be better scorers, we will be really good. It is probably too late this year. I wish we could oversign and process a couple guys. It probably isn't who many here would think.
We have about 4 guys who need to figure out if they really want to be really good or not this offseason and put in the work. If not, next year won't be much fun to watch either.

I know we missed at least 2 (a dunk by Randolph & that missed shot from 1 or 2 feet from the basket, late in the game) that would've proven invaluable there at the very end.

I'm still laughing at the fact that Ole Miss let us score 50+ points in a half. I honestly didn't think we could do that if they rolled the balls out and left the gym open.

Your theory doesn't make since if we covered. Had he been missing the whole game and thrown it away at the end to not cover, then it would have made sense.

we set a lot of slip screens and do a lot of drive and kicking, look at how Ole Miss set screens on the perimeter to free up their shooters for 3 point shots. We don't do that very much in any game.
Look truth is if Grant could put on the court at the same time 3 really good penetrating guards that were also great shooters, his offense would work. But it needs 3 guys that can drive, dish, and shoot really well to work. We don't have that, and it will be hard to recruit that at Alabama. Very few teams in the nation have 3 good penatrating guards that can really shoot on the team at once.
