If you'd have said that 2 weeks ago, I'd have said that I agree with you. However, it's getting U-G-L-Y now, & as horrendous as we look, I don't know that playing in the SEC can even turn this roster into a .500 team.

Of course, Grant's done a good job of turning what looked like a real loser in December around before, once we've gotten into the heart of conference play, but we've got essentially no upper class leadership to turn to & at least get some quality minutes out of, next to no inside presence to turn to other than Jacobs, who we're now just hoping can look as good as he did last year soon, much less take the kind of step forward we'll need to turn this around, when the perimeter shots just aren't falling.

On top of that there really seems to be this issue surrounding CAG's basketball teams, where they really play down to the level of any competition that they are up against, but then miraculously are somehow able to play up to the level of their opponents, whenever they're playing at least what they "perceive" to be a big game.

I've been a pretty big CAG supporter so far, & in fact, other than wanting us to wait for Mike Anderson's Missouri team to wrap up their season before making an offer to Grant, saw him as far & away one of the 2 best options who were potentially available that year. However, issues like the one that I just described, are almost always a sign of bad coaching.

This is his 4th season- and his lack of pure shooters, along with lack of big men, and every other lack we have, is due to his piss-poor recruiting. I'm sorry but losing to Dayton, Mercer, and Tulane in 3 consecutive home games at a halfway competent basketball school like Bama gets you fired, plain and simple

Don't give up the ship yet.........CAG is a class person...........and we have ball players.......... they are in a batting slump now...... he needs at least 3 more years to be able for us to grade him.........I thought he was the best applicant at the time of his hiring............and still do........I think the team is pressing .........and needs to step back and enjoy the game............we do need a inside player...........and I saw them watch a ball going out of bounds...........while Tulane saw a chance to recover it for points...............thanks, Chris.

but just wait til we win 2 or 3 in a row...half this board will be singing his praises
