A.J. and the Heisman

  • If AJ can have big games against the weaker teams on the schedule. He might get some talk. If you look at a lot of Heisman contender's. They always have highlight's/bg stats against the weak sister's of the poor. If he can have great games against those teams. Mixed with solid stats & wins against the better teams. Then he's likely in the discussion.

I don't see how any OC coming in wouldn't look at that film from the BCSCG and know they have a REAL weapon at QB now, along with some receivers with killer hands (Norwood) and burning speed (Bell), not to mention all the new ones coming in. THEN you throw in Lacey, Fowler, Dee, TJ, and man...this offense looks DEADLY---and all behind a veteran OL? It's almost not fair...

The only thing we're really missing is a homerun threat at tailback. CNS should have worked harder to hold onto Grant imo.

  • I agree with that. & I still can't see how we just let him go to AU.

I agree, a 5th string running back would really make our offense go!

    Hey Baby

  • With Hart getting injured he would've gotten a chance to prove himself this past year. Instead he sat out a year at the cow college!

  • OP left out the biggest factor......the O-line. This why AJ will have a huge year. He will have time to carve on a defense.

  • Good post! I think there is value in the heisman talk when it comes to AJ. Two reasons, one he is our most talented qb in the saban era. Two, I truly believe he will have the keys to this offense as for as trust goes. Which means we will attempt to have more explosive plays this season. JMO though and I HOPE NOT PERCEIVED THE WRONG WAY.

Actually i said the o-line was the #1 reason for him having a great year. And i do not think we will never again let up on teams until it is lock that we win. I think that the "Never gain" motto was not only aimed at the boogs but the whole football program they will never let up again on any team. This year proved it in my opinion because only game close was the Nov 9 game going into the end of the game

Yep you did. My bad. Reading comprehension is obviously not my strength. Roll Tide.
