It was common knowledge that Jovon wouldn't qualify and aubarn knew this better than anyone. Yet when the transcript is sent to them they just accept it and he qualifies. Due diligence? Controls in place to verify these things? Aubarn should have smelled a fish here. It was so obvious that the NCAA came snooping. Why didn't aubarn catch this themselves?
These are all very good questions that aubarn will have to answer and I'm not sure what answers they can give to clear themselves completely. Either they did know or should have known something fishy was going on. Now will the NCAA take a bite out of aubarn's ass this time? I'm bettng they want to real bad. Aubarn can't play dumb forever.
Isn't it also odd that a school official chose to do this when an aubarn player is involved. How many times could a school official choose to do this and ruin his career when it involved some other school. But yet it's aubarn. I can't imagine someone risking their career and image like this for free. I'm sure he was just trying to help this kid out though......right? On the other hand his dad did die recently and left the family in a bad way. I guess I could see someone doing that in that case if it was the only option but it wasn't going to be the end of the road for him. He could have gone JUCO.
