yea weird. i thought we were done after we lost to LSU. they say if we win one of the Florida/ole miss games and beat Georgia and win one or 2 in the sec tournament we should be in. A few ifs but its possible.

Here is the thing. I think we should have been ahead of those teams before the game started. That said I don't know how Lunardi, if he actually thought we should have been behind those teams, could justify moving us up 4 spots because of that win.

I think ESPN is just telling him to move teams around if they win or lose if they are playing on ESPN. He did the same thing with Villanova last night.

Freaking Villanova.

Who would have guessed they'd be in the position they're in now? If they beat G'Town at home on the 6th they're in the tournament.

I get the sense that we are in the "top 4 in" just for the day, because we now have a game in hand against those teams ahead of us (and in St John's case, they don't play until Saturday) It seems like almost an hourly thing at this point, we've moved up momentarily because we have played (and won) one more game than those guys.

As has been said, there's no way beating Auburn legitimately moved us up 4 spots. It just screams "pander to gullible Bama fans," lol

I agree. All of this "if we beat Florida" talk is silly, IMO. We haven't played well enough to beat a team as good as Florida all year. We play them in Gainesville and they're coming off a loss. They're also a LOT better than us offensively but can also defend very well whereas we cannot score. I'll be shocked if they don't beat us by 15.

Also I think the game being at 11am spells doom!

It's going to take more than one player having a career day to beat Florida. Releford had one and it wasn't good enough to win at LSU.

Young is probably going to abuse us down low on Saturday.

Also UT shut down Boyton and we need to do the same or at least limit his production in order to keep it close.

I think the early tip is actually a good thing....IMO the crowd would probably be a lot more fired up for, say, a 7pm primetime tip. The atmosphere will be crazy regardless, I just think it would be more so at night.
