Wow you really took that seriously. Thanks for the data and good job with the research. Wish I had that kind time.

Google "MLB attendance". Took about 30 seconds...probably less than it took you to write your post. Time? You'd have saved some if you'd have googled first.

Yes I work for a living. But you are not understanding my point:

The man has already made enough money in his lifetime to support himself and who knows how many generations of his family (Over 100 million dollars).

The man could retire right now and never have to worry about anything.

He went to another team for more money (that he doesnt need) to do the EXACT same job as his previous team. If I am working a job and I have already made enough to retire, why would I need to take another job WITH THE EXACT SAME RESPONSIBILITIES for more money that I dont need?

I mean the man has already made over $100 million dollars and was offered another $138 million and it wasnt good enough? Sounds like greed to me. What else could it be?

Its like these players compete with each other to see who can get the biggest contracts. It happens in football more than any other sport. A player gets his money, then about a year later somebody else at his position gets a bigger contract than he got and then the player immediately trys to get more money because he feels 'underpaid.' Its greed.

The man was offered an extra $100 million. He didn't ask for that, he was offered that. He'd be an idiot to turn it down. This isn't arguing for 1 or 2 million extra like some of these greedy players, this was $100 million. That is a small country's GDP right there in difference. Only a moron would have stayed in St Louis considering the difference in salary and also in contract length (think it was 10 years compared to what...7 or 8?).

I do agree with you about contracts seemingly outdoing previous records over and over. First it was A-Rod. Then it was Carlos Delgado, Pedro Martinez, and Carlos Beltran with the Mets. Now Pujols has a huge ass record contract. You see this in the NFL too (Chris Johnson). But who am I to judge what some rich robber barron does with their money.
