... and that's what happened today when Michael Thompson won his first PGA Tour event at the Honda Classic. Great putting and poise helped him become the first former UA player to win on the tour since Jason Bohn. Paycheck of more than $1 million, two year exemption and additional doors opened (WGC events) for the 27-year-old this weekend. And with what UA golf coach Jay Seawell has going in Tuscaloosa right now, it's just the start.

So happy for Michael. Don't be surprised to see Bud Cauley snag a victory this year too. He has struggled, but Michael winning will push him to get better.

He punched his Masters ticket with a runner up finish at the US Open last summer. This one gets him into the WGC events, like the one coming up at Doral next week.

Winning with Mr. Nicklaus at hand and with Mr. Woods in the tournament has to be the icing on the cake to what will be a moment never forgotten. Awesome day for MT!
