I am not embarrassed about a kid having a little pot or drinking too much . I am Very Embarrassed
watching those kids doing that to the passed out lsu kid . I am even more Embarrassed watching
grown up adult fans on Bourbon Street asking Harvey Updyke for a picture or an autograph .

I would like your opinion on this . The people I went to UA with , well , we all showed our asses a
little when we were young , but after they hit about age 26 , they didn't go around getting drunk
and showing their asses . They have their drinks , but they are polite .

It seems like the one's that embarrass me are the one's like Updyke who lived in Texas and Florida .
He never went to school at bama , not one day . The people in that video I would bet any amount
of money , never went to school at bama . This may sound pompous . It might seem holier than
though , but it seems like it is the bottom feeder's wearing bama jersey's that are always doing this
stuff .

I am not trying to start a broo ha , but I can't remember one perso that actually went to school there
that was actually at the center of one of these things . It's always some guy that went to some trade
school that drinks 20 beers instead of 5 . I would honestly like your feedback even if it is critical , but
the bottom line is , yes , I am embarrassed by it , are you ?

One last thought . A good comaprison might be when the Lakers when the NBA . Why the hell do all
these people go out and burn police cars and such ? I know soccer in Europe is bad , but they are
third world . Do Canadian's act this way when thier team wins in hockey ? They might , but I have never
heard of it . Sorry to ramble.

On Finebaum last night there was a guy (Alabama Alum) who traced the You Tube Account to an email of a UA student. He also knew he lived in Tuscaloosa several blocks from the practice facility. He also knew the kid is from Mobile and went to a private school there. His Dad is a successful businessman in Mobile. Caller was not sure if he was still a student or had graduated. So it appears -- at least who ever posted it - is a UA alumni. As another poster commented- You Tube, Facebook and Twitter fuel the fire and fulfill -- to some extent-- these immature individuals constant need for attention and recognition within their pathetic circle. Whomever posted it will be recognized eventually -- so he is going to get attention. Probably more than he wants. Ironic huh?

Sense you quoted me and asked me a direct question I will try my best to give you a honest answer. I would be embarrassed for any fan/player/student that puts himself/herself in a situation that is deemed sociably unacceptable, this includes myself. These offenses would include teabagging, smoking pot (illegal), drunk in public, rude behavior, and many other things.

Now, I myself am not perfect and have done things I am not proud of, I know there are different degrees of unacceptable by todays standards. I also feel ones social or economic situation has no bearing on these things. I know many very good people from all walks of life and race. I also know too many people from well educated so called professional family's I don't care to associate with for different reasons. We all know all walks of life do things wrong.

I first started my post because I love Alabama, The University, The State (I am proud to have been born in Alabama), and the vast majority of the people. I want people to think of Alabama the way I do, not the stereotype we have all seen on TV and the News. I want Alabama Football to be the envy of every program in this country, I want us to lead the way in graduation, play on the field and class by players and fans.

Now, these things said, teabagging by our fans, Updykes, what Dre did, the Book deals, anything that is perceived as negative to our school and team embarrass me. My father told me when I was young, Son, before you do something wrong think If I (Dad) would do that. Because you represent not only yourself but me and the way I raise you. I will not comment on the LA NBA deal or the soccer, NHL thing because I know why too little about it. RTR
