Anybody heard Al Borges as OC candidate?

Auburn guy I know swears saban and chiziki interviewed him. Stupid, I know. But anybody heard the same?

I havE always said the reason Auburn was so dominant offensively in the early 2000's was bc of Al Borges. That man ran one hell of an impressive offense and made Jason Campbell look good when he'd looked lost before. You want an OC that knows the SEC and will run the ball down your throat then but a big run or play action on you for good measure? Mr Borges would be your man. I'd be a big fan if he were in contention.

You are so right. I always thought that he was the main reason they went undefeated.

Al is a good choice...I don't mind who we get as long as they are a PROVEN OC with a good track record with many years of experience. Alabama is NOT a training ground for an unknown OC.

I don't think he can dress the way he wants to/ is most comfortable in up their. Come on back to the south and get revenge on the program that canned you for the spread offense big man!

Hes not leaving Michigan. Brady is his guy. As long as Brady is there, Borges is there.

I just like the fact that he found a way to get both great RBs on the field at the same time. RTR.

I, too, always thought Borges was a good coach. He did wonders with Jason Campbell, and utilized all of AU's running backs as well as you could possibly manage two stars at one position. Additionally, the way he called plays just always seemed so logical and made sense. I can't imagine him leaving Michigan, but if he did and came here, I would not be disappointed in that move. That's a case where the coach would be a great fit for the talent we have on hand.
I may be remembering this incorrectly, but didn't he have a reputation for not really being interested in recruiting? I may have him confused with someone else, but I could swear I remember AU fans, during his era as OC down there, complaining about that.

That's what the Aubs used to say. However, I think we have learned that the entire Tuberville staff was disinterested in recruiting.
So, maybe that wasn't a Borges issue it was a program problem.
