I havE always said the reason Auburn was so dominant offensively in the early 2000's was bc of Al Borges. That man ran one hell of an impressive offense and made Jason Campbell look good when he'd looked lost before. You want an OC that knows the SEC and will run the ball down your throat then but a big run or play action on you for good measure? Mr Borges would be your man. I'd be a big fan if he were in contention.

I may be remembering this incorrectly, but didn't he have a reputation for not really being interested in recruiting? I may have him confused with someone else, but I could swear I remember AU fans, during his era as OC down there, complaining about that.

That's what the Aubs used to say. However, I think we have learned that the entire Tuberville staff was disinterested in recruiting.
So, maybe that wasn't a Borges issue it was a program problem.
