Anyone catch the Michigan spring game?

  • Watching it now and I hope I don't come off as arrogant but I don't see them beating Bama. I know it's just a spring game and alot can happen from now til then (injuries/incoming recruits) but I don't see any standouts and the talent is so-so. Bama's o-line should dominate their front all game long.

I've always heard that games are won in the trenches. Well, we probably have the best trenches in the country. I bet there's not even a close second. Our only weak spot is the secondary which is highly talented and coached by the best in the country (CNS). I really think we have another chance to win it all again.

  • no doubt, we are very strong on the front.....offense and defense. I think the secondary will surprise.

  • if both teams are 100 % healthy here is the basic lowdown

if Bama's D contains Robinson on the ground its going to get ugly for the ones in maze n blue.
if not ? they have a chance to make it competitive w/ a few breaks going their way .

imo the early Vegas line says it all .....Bama by 14 1/2 .coffee

    !!!

    Grand Slam

  • I just caught the sportscenter highlights of their game where they mentioned that Robinson played for only one series. I was pretty thown off by that. One series? Obvisously he's the starter, but is he so good that he doesn't need the reps? Of course, ESPN could have been off on that or left something out. They reported that our game ended with a score of 9-3.

To the question of whether or not they can hang with us, I'm hesitant to be overly confident, but I think we wax em'.

This team, this year, has reason to be arrogant. I don't think I can recall a Bama team EVER with this much talent top to bottom, and the ability to play as a mature "team". A-day was the best demonstration I've seen since CNS came here, and that was just a little .00000001% taste of what we have in store...I almost feel sorry about the hell the rest of our schedule will face: it's not even gonna be fair.

  • I LOVE our team and its potential. I have only one concern...are they hungry? If we are and we stay that way, I really like our chances at another BAMA Back 2 Back.

It won't be easy. We will get everyones best but if this team is hungry...eat we shall! And the best thing is this isn't just fan talk. Its Reality.

I can read hunger...the hunger of the young guys, combined with the hunger of the older guys to NOT repeat the nightmire of 2010 is there---the other "never again" albatross to shed. They want it, they'll get it.

What does it say about our program when a 10 - 3 season with a top 10 finish can legitimately be described as a "nightmare" ? Thank you very much Coach Saban for taking us to a place that's very rare indeed .

Then I love our chances. The talent level is amazing. Even with all the super stars we are losing every year, and the ones we have lost the last 2 years....this team may have more quality depth than any team in recent years. And with how were recruiting every year, I guess that's been the goal all along.

Hunger is my only concern and if its just like that ^^^^ we are in a Great Position even with some tough games this season. Bring it on....Can't Wait!

Was that a zing at Spurrier for giving his players rings for winning 11 games? If so, well done!

  • Alabama has played two season openers against legitimate teams since Saban arrived, and they've absolutely housed both of them. (The VT game was a demolition, even if the score was closer than it should have been, thanks to poor kickoff coverage). Give Saban and his staff all summer to work on a gameplan, and I just don't think it is going to be a particularly close ball game. Michigan does not have near the talent that Alabama does on either side of the football. Denard Robinson isn't the kind of quarterback that is going to solve a Saban/Smart defense. I think this game could be a 34-10 type.
