That this plane may not have even left the ground yet? Have you ever been at a job so long you could do it in your sleep? It becomes habit and instinct with no wasted time or effort. A finely tuned, well-oiled machine. Now that Saban has laid the groundwork, and got his system in place, it will only grow stronger as the days go by. Even in its infancy, just look at the chaos caused by this union between a top level coach, with tenacious drive, energy, and discipline, and a traditional powerhouse that needed all of these things. Tommy Tubberville pretty much gave up before getting started. Tennessee bailed on Phil Fulmer, knowing he wasn't up to the task, and never would be. They knew he didn't have the drive and energy it would take to keep up with a marriage between Bama and Saban. Then they were proven right, when that same marriage all but gave Urban Meyer a heart-attack by trying to keep up.
Even now, it took a very good coach in Bobby Petrino, and made him so comfortable with the idea of being second fiddle that he spent his time doing what he did. Instead of game planning and scheming to compete. The only one it doesn't seem to bother is Les Miles. And let's face it, I don't know if he's smart enough to realize that it should bother him!
