I know it has been posted here before, but that 27 sacks by DT is simply amazing. That is a record that may never be broken. Da'Quan Bowers, probably the best pure pass rusher in recent memory could only manage 15.5. I am still wowed by what DT did in 1988. The 2 All-American bookend DE's, Copeland and Curry, only had 21 total on one of the best defensive teams of all time. Unbelievable!! RTR Great article on a great Coach, Chris, thanks for sharing.

Coach Rumph is well respected here in South Carolina.............by fans and players alike.............I'm glad he is at Bama.........hope for many years.........it is nice to see a team of coaches stay together for a while...........thanks Chris.........RTR

All the +'s we can give for the title alone Love it. The info contained within ....Excellent.....and Coach Rumph's addition to our staff has been another key component to what has become the strength of our program. It all starts at the top!

I was just about to post this exact thing. I noticed the same thing about how he had more than Curry and Copeland combined! The awesomeness that was Derrick Thomas cannot get enough mention. Didn't he sack Elway like five times in one NFL game?
