It'll be a few years before we'll have a good feel on their contribution to the SEC.

They are both very good additions and institutions. I'll admit it's going to take some getting use to all the weird A&M traditions. But, I think they will really prosper in the sec. As for Missouri, if south Carolina can win the east anyone can. It's all going to depend on how well they recruit.

If I had a choice, I would have rather had Clemson, Georgia Tech, Florida State and Louisville in order to tie up all of the Eastern rivals.

As a Bama fan who has been living in College Station for a few years now, I can promise you will never grow accustom to the weird Aggie tradition. Most of the Gameday traditions at Kyle are pretty amazing actually, but then you look for the cheerleaders and see the Yell Leaders and realize how gay it is.

A word of advice to those going to the game at Kyle Field. GO IN GROUPS! They have a tradition where everyone in the stadium wraps their arms AND LEGS around each other and rock back and forth while singing their war hym. It happens before the game and after every Quarter. They force opposing fans to do it and the only way to avoid it is to be in a big group of Bama fans. It's very awkward and one on your intoxicated friends will be sure to deck an Aggie.

I am really excited about both additions and think it was a home run for the SEC in many ways. Can't wait to go to Columbia and College Station. Always good to have someone who wants you!

I say let Clemson and FSU rot in the ACC. You let them in and they immediately grow stronger from a recruiting standpoint which is an area they need no extra help. From a TV standpoint we already have a strong presence in Florida and South Carolina. To me adding NC State and Virgina Tech make more sense than Florida State and Clemson as you branch into new TV markets in North Carolina and Virginia....IMO

tamu has too many weirdo traditions and their fans are even more cult like and insecure than aubies.
Plus their stadium looks like an open tackle box that someone poured concrete on.

The biggest issue i have with them, however, is that their "cadets" are in no way affiliated with any branch of the US military. They're just a bunch of freaks playing army and grabass.

UMo brings nothing to the SEC as far as football goes...and football is all that really counts.
