Quick synopsis from someone that didn't read it.

Alabama and Auburn is an instate rivalry like no other due to their ability to compete at a high level. The rivalry was ended for a long time because the fans couldn't get along. The state government made us all restart it. Fans hate each other now because Auburn had a good season. Some idiot killed some trees that aren't actually dead. Rivalry has gone too far.

Now my opinion on the rivalry

Reality is that the rivalry is simply a rivalry. Nothing more sinister than that for 99.99% of those of us who are in society and paying taxes. The fringe people who need the attention that comes with saying outlandish things in public spew odd hatred for people they don't know on the radio. Their lack of anything and ability to have a high frequency has created a perception that they are representative of the state's population when in actuality they are only representative of fringe people. Tammy, IMan, Joe from Trussville, the Jims, Legend, and the SOS are clearly people that are not part of functioning society. These are not people that are like any of the people that we interact with on a daily basis.

Truth be told the only reason Alabama fans hate Auburn is because Tennessee sucks. If Ucheat were decent Auburn would go back to its disrespected place as the second most hated team by Alabama fans.

The fans in this state are not creating a Southwest conference dooms day scenario either. Alabama did not get Auburn in trouble and certainly not due to a lack of effort Auburn has not gotten Alabama in any trouble.

I'm sick of the hyperbole surrounding the hatred between the fans of Alabama and Auburn. Its overblown as a result of Jox radio's allowing fringe people a forum to speak. These people know they are not smart enough to become well known thru thoughtful insight therefore they resort immature conversation similar to what you will find at any school yard kick ball game.
