that's it. The point went past Releford and Eblen all day like a knife through butter.

We played with a lack of confidence on both ends of the court today. When we played with a 4 guard rotation, our guys were moving and cutting to the basket to create open shots. When we play with two big guys we just seem to slow down to a crawl. We beat the zone in the past few weeks with dribble penetration. Our full court press today was pretty much ineffective for the first time this season. Not sure why the all of a sudden shutdown from our guys, but something I have noticed is that Lacey's injury may have stalled what was brewing. Lacey is obviously not the same player with this ankle injury and we really need his help to do anything in both tourneys.

Releford appears to be playing with some kind of injury as well, was it a ankle or knee that he aggravated a few weeks ago? When you looked at this team today, you saw USCe all over again...just no confidence

Good point, and thats one I havent thought of...Our offense was at its best around two weeks ago with 4 guards and 1 big, and when Lacey was healthy. Almost makes me want to see him sit in the first round against USCe to continue to rest, as it would be great to have him healthy for the big tournament.

I agree, and I guess i didn't think about it since he never really missed any games. Like I said earlier, it would be great to see him and Rele get as healthy as possible before the dance. This team can do big-time damage if healthy. Still think our best lineup is Releford, Lacey, Randolph, Steele, and Green; with Cooper(if he is willing to fire the long-ball), Jacobs, Hank, and Engstrom coming off the bench. I wasn't a believer in Carl until today, but he is becoming a force on the defensive end. Hankerson is great at creating his own shots, but can get a little wild at times. He has the ability to carry the team if he gets on one of his hot streaks, but he is incredibly streaky and you never know what you are going to get with him. Randolph is, in my opinion, now the most consistent freshman we have playing, as well as Jacobs. If healthy, Lacey is one that could drop 20 on any given night. Still believe our offense should start and end with Green, but I realize in order for that to happen, we have to knock down a few outside shots early on in games to get opponents out of that damn zone. If you remember, we have had by far our best offensive games this year when we knock down a couple of threes early in the game.

Sorry, didnt mean anything by it, i just enjoy to have in-depth conversations about our b-ball team, since they are few and far between. Like you said in my thread, its all in fun. I just want to see our team compete to their fullest potential and really want to hear what everone's opinions are.

We slow to a crawl when we play 2 big guys, because other than Green, none of our bigs can hit a midrange jump shot. That kills our spacing on Offense and it has been a major problem all year.
