Auburn/La Monroe prediction thread

  • Barn, don't see LaMo getting back to back road wins in SEC.

    RMFT81

  • After two weeks of blissfully watching them unravel under their self-imposed penalties of Kiehl Frazier and Toothless Jim, I have no clue what the steaming pile of dogsh!t that is the 2012 Auburn football team is going to do. TIFWIW biggrin

I remember my Dad told me once never bet for or against Auburn. You never know which team will show up. My gut says they will take out a lot of frustration on a team that is coming off a big win. I say AU by 3-4 TDs. And it won't mean anything.

i agree with this guy's dad. you never want to put yourself in a position (due to a bet or otherwise) where you wind up pulling for the barn. that being said i think the barners have the tractors circled and all the cows greased up.
University of auburn 34 ULM 21.

  • If I was betting I would take ULM. I just don't see the barn being able to score over 17 points unless they get turnovers for TD's or special team scores. The barn is a very bad football team but they do have one thing going for them this week & that is the chance ULM comes in to the game still celebrating the win over Arky & just plays awful. That could happen & the barn wins but I still think it will be close.

  • There have been some great analysis of the game in this thread. I don't see the 'Barn covering the spread. They will win, but my reason is "tinfoil hat-ish". The refs will give all improtant calls to Aulfulburn. Monroe's 1st score will be called back by "penalty" . Just watch. These penalties will be momentum killers for LAMon. Everytime it looks like Lee Cnty College might surrender the lead, look for a yellow hanky.

It's not as "tinfoil hatish" as you might think...LAMon beating two SEC schools back to back wouldnt look good and I also believe the barn will be getting a lot of helpful calls.

I don't think lamo has a shot, but I wouldn't take auburn as a double digit favorite against anyone right now. 17-7

at +1,-3,-6 i would give LaMoo a shot.

at -17 and a hook Vegas is begging for the field to wager against the downtrodden Birdie-Cats...begging !!!

Aubz win big w/ highlight reel plays being spot lighted by ESPN & then the Boog-Nation post game spin....
    - we're back, the super recruits have seen the light.
    - Cjiz and the Guru staff drew a line in the dirt & the super recruits responded in fashion
    - Frazier just needed a few games to catch on to such a hi-octane/complex system
    - the West is Ours
    - blah,blah,blah....

part 2: LSU rolls into town and beats them into wishing they were playing MSU again and ....
    - are coaches couldnt draw plays in the dirt
    - who do we hire ? Petrino,Pete Carroll,Tom Landry*
    - Frazier sux
    - we couldnt win a west coast little league
    > we're just young & the new schemes are complex
    > damn skippy, next year we'll...
    > Frazier will be an All-American next season

its coming, you heard it here 1st.
two weeks of classic rollercoaster Aub drama dramaqueen.

    - blah..blah..blah...

  • two weeks of classic rollercoaster Aub drama coming up dramaqueen.

or they flop again vs LaMoo & the trees wilt, the tractor wheels fall off, and Soaked-Liver Dye mumbles/blurs about hiring himself to coach.

but imo they bounce the SunBelt foe that stunned the wounded hawgz & then get thumped back into reality a week later by LSU.

  • I don't see La Monroe winning 2 SEC road games in a row. That being said, it's a realistic possibility that Auburn won't score 17 points, much less cover that. I know it was against Sun Belt teams, but LA-MO had a top 25 defense last year. Auburn has a bottom 25 offense. I see Auburn making enough plays to win, but I can't see them covering. Tigers win 23-13.

  • 34 to 10 Abuies. Build me up and they go way back down again next week. Love the at the bottom.

  • Au-34
    Uln-21

Au comes out focused and hits some big plays on the edge with onterrio and quick passing game. Ulm has some costly turnovers. Also, au home field advantage will be a factor.

Currently Auburn sits at a -16 or -17 depending on who's giving odds. Give me your honest assessment of how this game plays out. Does Auburn cover? Do they even win?

Are we getting too caught up in how AU played last week and how Arky played? Or does La Mo really have a shot.

There is currently a team in west Alabama that is defending their NC this weekend and opening up their SEC play on the road, you should check them out sometime.
