Bad News On Robert Nkemdiche Or ESPN Spin? ESPN Insider

  • Get used to the name Robert Nkemdiche (Loganville, Georgia/Grayson).

As the recruiting process continues to reach new levels of interest each year among fans and the pressure on programs to land elite talent becomes unbearable, the pursuit of Nkemdiche could command unprecedented exposure.

His name has already invoked the likes of Herschel Walker and Bo Jackson. Like Walker, Georgia has already caught Nkemdiche's fancy.

"Georgia made me feel comfortable and I will be visiting them again," Nkemdiche told Scout.com as relayed by the Sporting News. "The way they were interacting with me, the way we talked, and everything just went good today. Georgia is in there and they are a school I am looking at more serious after this visit."

Georgia entered a race which already included Florida, Alabama, LSU, Oregon and Florida State.

If Georgia remains at the forefront and becomes Nkemdiche's choice, the Bulldogs already have a plan in place to use him all over the field. "They would move me all over the field. From outside linebacker, defensive end, to nose guard," Nkemdiche said. "They want me to put me in situations to make plays near the ball. They also told me they would use me in short yardage situations at running back as well."

  • In another interview about the same visit he said that he is more serious about them as they may break into his top 5, so take that as "a threat" as much as you want but being at the top to breaking into the top 5 is a fair amount different at this stage.

  • Yea, I think it is ESPN bashing Bama.

I hate ESPN. I hated how they handled LC's mom and decison.

  • I couldn't imagine anyone choosing to play for Richt right now. He was saved by the schedule this year and not having to play Bama, Arkansas, or LSU from the West (in the regular season). UGA lost to every good team they played this season (which includes a Michigan St. bunch we beat 49-7 the year before). Luckily for them, they once again avoid all of the top teams in the West next season, but inflated win totals due to a weak schedule don't change the fact that Richt is bush league as a coach, and his days are numbered. UGA ain't improving any, and they'll continue to lose to every good team they play as long as Mark Richt is there.

Some people bring a knife to a gun fight. Mark Richt brings a Super Soaker 2000.

Sounds like we know the same folks. +1 for having the class to omit the Tijuana-style unicorn show, though.

Having MIckey Conn as his coach doesn't guarantee we get RN, but, you can bet your last dollar that Mickey will make sure this kid is well informed and is not making a decision based on the crap people will fill his head with. He will know the score and not be under any misimpressions.

Seriously,,,UGA will tell recruits anything at this point. They have apparently told him he could come in and start day one and be done in 3 years. I could never in a million years imagine Nick Saban telling a recruit that.
