Bama Received at Least 54 of 59 2d Place Votes in Coaches Poll

  • In the coaches poll, Bama has 1,411 points. If a team is unamious selection for number 2 in the coaches poll, that team would receive 1,416 points. Then this means that Bama is second place on at least 54 of the 59 ballots. It is going to take something unexpected and historic to happen for Bama to lose all of those votes.

    Now, it is possible that Bama is number 2 on more than 54 voters ballots, but someone voted Bama at 4 or below. I have no means of figuring that out. I only know that we are number 2 on at least 54 ballots. I like our chances.

    We actually had 1,413 points last week. So, we are only down 2 points from last week. But, I definitely get your point. This probably should be expected since some of the coaches will obviously have agendas against Bama.

    you're right, my mistake. i was looking on the espn rankings page and clicked back to week 13. they had the ap poll in the same spot as the coaches' poll this week and i didn't verify the header. thanks.
