Bama mirror image of 2010 Team? OK!

  • All these critics done got me worked up so here we go! Start with offense. We return 5 starters from last year pretty much. Kouandrio at left tackle is better than barret jones at it especially from a size and talent stand point. Warmack back at guard (possible 1st rounder). Barret Jones ( smartest and most experienced player on team) i take him over Vlachos even though Vlachos was a rock Jones is bigger, smarter, more talented. Anthony Steen at RG ( Most inexperienced of the 5 but showed he could take care of business last year), RT- DJ Fluker ( First round and best RT in college football very seasoned and getting better every time i see him). Ok thats our line do they sound weak or nimble? Sure as heck dont sound like it. Now at QB, Aj MCcarron may be the best quarterback at bama since Namath in my opinion. GREAT arm can make all throws, experienced, plays well in the clutch and big games, will have lots of time to find open recievers with our top notch line, can make the audibles and checks, also when saban turned him lose last year in NC game against the 2nd best defense in country we saw what happens, he has a NC MVP award. (Breakout year for MCcarron watch!). guy when healthy has produced. He is actually taller, and heavier. than richardson

  • Sorry got cutoff and as u can tell this is gna be a book bug want everyone to hear my thoughts. RB- Now i know.we lost TR and he will be missed he was a maybe a once every decade RB. His backup though is a beast we have just drowned him out cuz of our amazing richardson. I was told Lacy would have been a 5 star RB but had eligibility issues that kept him from it.but skill wise he waz a 5 star RB. That being said Lacy is taller and heavier than richardson and just as fast. Also he may not be as strong as richardson ( then again what RB is) but he is a mammoth i mean look at his thighs and arms! Also im not a big fan of a spin move as it can leave u suceptible but thjs guy gakes it to another level. He has perfected it. Also he has been groomed, shaped, and coached by richardson and the same coaches for yearz now. If he can stay healthy and with the o-line we bave he could possibly beat richardsons numbers and be in the heisman talk so step up to bat mr Lacy i got faith in u as does the whole bama faithful. I will note this though we have beast depth at RB and we alwayz run two to 3 backs. This year i look for us to use 4. Eddie Lacy, TJ Yeldon, Dee Hart, and Jalston Fowler. Fellows we are deep! Yeldon amazed me in the spring game and showed true heart, determination, physical and mental toughness. He can do it all and I look for him to be our featured back next year. Hes fast, elusive, runs at a low level, can catch the ball and has ball skills of a reciever! And yikes hes a true freshman! Lol. Dee Hart now is a different kind of back nore like Terry Grant but times 5. He is bout 5"8 and 190 to 200. Is quick as a hiccup, runs low to the ground, and can stay hidden behind those big lineman and then has the speed to be vapor! I say he is different cuz of small size which means he is a make u miss type back not a. Etween the tackles guy although i truly believe he can. Has excellent ball skills as well. I look for saban to utilize his skills and for Hart to get some meaningful PT this year. Now Jalston Fowler is a man. Tagged by teammates and the man they hate to tackle he is a load. Has the size of a jerome bettis but is actually i believe faster and more shifty. A true north south hit u in the mouth and run u over RB. I look for him to be utilized in short yardage situations and it will hard to stop him from gaining 3 to 4 yds when he touches the rock! All this being said its not all bout toting the pigskin. In bamas offense u also have to be able to block and pick up blitzes. Not real sure which ones are best able to do this and that may be our RB weak point but my picks here would be the veterans Lacy and Fowler. Now we lose richardson to gain 3 studs. Fowler was backing TR last year bc of lacy's turf toe and Harts acl injury. But now we got Lacy and Hart healthy and a amazing back that his skill set is completely new to tbe history of Alabama in TJ Yeldon! We for sure aint hurting here mr bama haters and critics! Give me a sec and ill continue with the TE's and recievers in proving my point this aint no 2010 Bama!

  • Ill start with WR cuz it just excites me! Our recieving corp i believe is the best its ever been in alabama history! I believe our top 4 recievers if I had to pick right now would be Christion Jones, Kevin Norwood, Kenny Bell, and Deandrew White. All 4 of these guys are electricity! Super fast, great hands, can get off and get seperation from the defenders, can block, and have great verticals! Ask the Honey Badger for instance about Kevin Norwood! LMFAO! But wait theres more! Not sure how Marvin Shinn or Danny Woodson have progressed ( which im sure they have made strides cu i mean this is bama the nfl in the making factory) We signed 3 guys this past year that are amazing talents! 5 stars Eddie Williams (6"4 210 a monster physical specimen with sub 4.5 speed), Chris Black ( A true possession reciever with speed, vertical, great hands, pretty much everything u can ask for but is a lil under weight as he needs to pack weight on and im.sure cochranis building him up but height is good at a lil over 6"0), and prolly favorite of the 3 for the future, 4 star Amari Cooper( Our deep ball guy with great speed, vertical, top notch hands, and great route running ability like chris black. Cooper is tall and lanky and reminds me of a shorter AJ Green and will be an amazing reciever for us at Bama!) Now the hard part who will be MCcarrons go to guy. He distributes the ball well but in the NC game he seemed to really like Norwood as Norwood made some key and clutch catches for us that game including making the honeh badger look bad several times. Kenny Bell is prolly the most experienced and is becoming a great reciever with good hands, vertical, blocking ability, ball skills and elusiveness and the ability to out run defenders for the long ball! Christion Jones now he is fun to watch and reminds me alot of tyrone prothro! A slot reciever with excellent elusive skills and good hands. Great at getting seperation and his learning curve was alot shorter than most as he is a true sophmore this year showing lots of promise in starting a few games for us last year. This guy can get seperation from a defender when no one else can he is great at it as it showed in the A day game when it looked as if MCcarron was just gettinv rid of the ball and jones completely left veteran Lester in his tracks to make a full speed both feet in sideline grab! He is special and it will show this year for sure and not just at reciever he will be our special teams main returner and is prolly better than Arenas was! Deandrew White is a guy I hve been waiting on to shine and I believe he will this year! Our fastest reciever and has the most ability to make u miss. Hightower praised him last year stating that at practice one day we caught a lil quick slant and made 6 or 7 first teamers on the best D in the country tied in a knot and took it to the house! Also is a very good deep route threat as he can get there in a hurry and has the vertical and excellent hands to make the grab, u throw in his elusiveness and he makes 2 ppl miss and hes vapor! Another stud star WR for 2012! If u do t believe me right now hit me back bout the time we are going to Atlanta in December and ill take a ("Wow you told is so!)" Critics how can yall say we are hurting thus far. So far we are better or just as good at every offensive position I have mentioned. Next the up and coming star H-Back position smelley played last year and TE.

  • Our H-Back position last year was a star go to guy and brad smelley did a good of it! That being said he now resides in Cleveland Ohio with his new Fam, The cleveland browns. Before A-Day thjs year i heard of Brent Calloway making th switch to the position. When I heard this i couldnt believe I didnt think of it before. Recruited as a HB first LB second after watching his i believe he found a position home. Has all the ball skils of a RB and now with our top notch strength and conditiining program is putting on the pounds and strength to man over the position and has all offseason to learn the position. Smelley was a seasoned veteran with heart but when it comes to overall talent, another guy couldnt have been selected to fill the spot other than Calloway! Has good hands and like i said putting on the muscle, brains, and size to block linebackers and safetys! Has excellent listed upper 4.5 speed and RB skills if he gets this down he will take the H-Back position to a whole new level! May take a few games under his belt to get comfortable but when he does he will be a machine! Now this could be ( but it wont trust me) be a bust and smelley to me even after the NC game would be our most missed but if this guy can put in the work and dedication he may one day be a top 3 round or better pick! Couldnt have picked a better guy to me to fill this void. Now at TE we return our 2 year this will be third year returning starter in Michael Williams. Now if ur a Bama fan he needs no introduction. This guy is super tall, big and rangy almost like a super fast extra tackle in the game that can catch. A seasoned veteran and a leaded for this team i look for Mike to make lots of key block and clutch key catches in our Offense this season. Also the guys bebind him have been in the system a year and are ready to step up. ( Brian Vogler and Harrison Jones). These two guys are big prototypical TEs that can recieve or block. Jones is the younger brother of forever and still starting center Barrett Jones and i eard the apple do t fall far from the tree. If thats true I expect Jones to contribute as early as this year if he learns the rope. Vogler was one of the top ranked true TEs in year before last. Decent speed, route running ability, and. Blocking. I look for Harrison and Brian to take over completely next year and be the best TE tandem in the country. The sky is the limit for these guys. Also i note that Reggie Ragland a true TE recruit and possible H-Back will be here when Fall begins and I know u cant judge a book by its cover but if hes as good as he looked on film and the raves and reports that were given about him it might be hard to keep him off the field as early as this year! ( Although he could with his speed and physicality end up at the Mike linebacker position). Either way look for him to contribute possibly early if he can get it down and work hard. Also I note that for the upcoming class Oj Howard is currently commited to us. He has the potential with his size and talent to one day be the best we ever have had! Yea H-Back wil be a learning year possibly but i really and truly think we are better there now especially talent wise than we have ever been. Not alot of depth that I know of there either thougb so we need to load up some guys or train some other recruits for the position but im telling u Reggie Ragland if put there can be the man at some point! Also with our returning beast veteran TE returning i would go no less than to say we are just as good as last year here! Thats the H-Back and TEs. Before I go to defense i wanna give some quick hits. With Phillip Sims transferring he left a scary huge black hole in the depth. U have Blake Sims who is a dual threat qb that was moved to running back that I look to be moved back to Qb. And even if Phillip Ely or true freshman Alec Morris steal the spot I think Sims needs and should be utilized as a wildcat QB! Would give OC'S fits especially if he can throw the ball well. All i do know is we cant afford for MCcarton to go down. To make it a happu note though we recently got a commitment from Cooper Bateman a top notch elite passer that is the future face I believe of the crimson tide! So as I have touched on this subject in the offensive side, seriously how can anyone with common sense think we toom a step back?! This is Alabama we dont step back we reload and move forward! We are the juggernauts and love for u critics feed us fuel to help the already hungry and motivated bama football team to stay motivated and know our destiny! TO WIN CHAMPIONSHIPS 1 AT A TIME, OVERLOOK NOONE, PREPARE EACH TIME LIKE ITS THE CHAMPIONSHIP, TO PROGRESS TO THE BEST OF THEIR ABILITY, TO STRETCH PAST OUR GOALS AND NEVER BE SATISFIED, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY TO TURN BOYS IN TO GROWN ASS MEN! WE ARE THE UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA! ROLL TIDE. Next ill prove our defense and i hope yall bama fans enjoy. THE QUEST FOR NUMBER 15 BABY

  • As i have already talked about offense, now i.will talk about what the critics are saying the reason we wont repeat is, DEFENSE! Before i get started i just wanna say I hope u bama hating jealous fags are reading this. I mean this is Alabama football! If we know one thing its defense. We have had a top 5 defense the past 3 years even in 2010 our so called let down year! I mean we arguably by many ppl, many ppl not even bama fans had the best defense ever in the history of college football this past season! Yea we lost 4 players to the draft in the first 35 pick (WOW) but the spots we are filling we are filli g with guys that have had starts under their belts, that have experience talent and skill! The depth at Bama right now is untouched by any team i have heard of in my life. Two years ago we were very talented but now we are depthly talented. Like in Bear Bryants days he took a guy out and put in another guy just as good with no drop off! Yea well like it or not we are back from the long sleep we had for years to true championship winning beast mode Crimson Tide form. Im bout to prove my point starting with each position and talk about the projected starters a lil depth at the position and a comparison and why we are each year a totally different team but hungry for the same thing, NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS!

  • Ok so here we go with our 2012 defense. As everyone knows we lost 4 studs on defense. Im about to try and ease anyones worries of a 2010 letdown. I'm gonna base the starters off a base 3-4 defense and im gonna start with the front three. SDE- DAMION SQUARE, is a returning starter for the tide. He is more of a run stopping DE with good size and strength. He has good quickness but isnt gonna put up the gaudy Justin Tuck numbers. Which our DE's in our defense are really made to stop the run and make teams one dimentional with our talented db's ball hawking. Well Mr Square does just that. DT- JESSE WILLIAMS, is making the transition to DT from DE this year to take over for Josh Chapman. This is however the position we reqruited him for and is figured to be a preseason 1st round pick for the 2013 draft. His job will be to draw the double teams to free up linebackers or db's to come in for the sack and to plug the middle to stop the run. He isnt as big as our.recent famous MT Cody but he isnt a 2 down DT like.Cody was either. He will anchor the defensive front. Also unlike Cody, Williams is quick and has good technique, making him a pass rushing threat as well allowing us to.drop more guys in coverage or to have an extra blitzer. Williams was made.for this position and will be a defensive leader for this squad. Chapman and Cody were great but this guy has a chance to be possibly the greatest. SDE- QUINTON DIAL, is an absolute monster. At first glance he is very intimidating with a very muscular frame and lean. At 6"6 and over 300 lbs Diak can stop the run but is also very agile. Dial played Juco ball before landing in T Town and the college experience, playing time last year giving him time to learn the system, his size ,strength, and athletic ability will make him more than capable of being an all SEC performer. Dial should also be able to get pressure on the QB as he has great quickness. Bama will prolly leave Williams in the game as much as they can but when he needs a break 6"4 300 lb Brandon Ivory was basically built by saban and crew to be the next Big Cody. And with him having 2 years in the system now i believe he is more than capable of carrying out his duties. At DE though Bamas depth is back by superb up and coming stars. Ed Stinson is a LB turned DE. He grew from 6"4 225 lbs to a now muscular, quick, and strong 280 lbs. Stinson is more of a balanced DE as he can stop the run and really get after the passer. I expect Stinson to have a breakout year and reallu be something great. The other DE is Jeoffrey Pagan. At 6"4 275 Pagan is a force. He also is more of a balanced DE. Also Pagan is a youngster with alot of potential and upside. Will get alot of playing time this year and will also eventually be a dynamic DE! So by looking at the difference in this front 3 in 2010 and 2012 we are alot more experienced and seasoned now. In 10 we had to replace all 3 starters with 2 of them having meaningful playing time before hand. This year we replace chapman with no offense a better more athletic DT in Williams who started at DE last year. We return our SDE and our WDE has alot of game time, training, and experience under his belt. We also have backups with no drop off that could be better than the starters. So in the Front 3 i give the edge to this coming years squad. The front is where it starts and we are in better shape coming in than we were in '10 and did i mention we were 5th in the nation in 10 in overall defense!

  • Thanks for the insight. Keep on rolling with the defensive breakdown.

    JP_Tide

  • At linebacker we are absolutely loaded with talent, size, and speed. Adrian Hubbard is a beast with a little better speed than his previous Upshaw. Although he lacks the strength, experience, and technique of upshaw Saban and company are grooming him and fast. Had a great A-Day performance and expect him to be a force on our talented defense getting after the QB. Also Hubbard may actually have better coverage skills than upshaw allowing him to drop back in zone and make plays. We return also two key guys at linebacker in CJ Moseley and Nico Johnson. CJ is and has been our best coverage backer who can cover like a corner with linebacker strength and size. He needs no introduction as he has performed well since he set foot on campus. Nico is a nick saban prototype backer with Hightower size but better speed. Not as strong as Hightower but can cover better than him. Nico is a great run stopper as well and look for him to be a leader for this Defense. Trey Depriest looks like he is the next great one at MLB for the Tide. As a freshman showed lots of promise and is a sure tackler. Has speeed and and athletisism to do it all. This guy will be great. Xzavier Dickson is another OLB that can step up put his hand down or rush from the edge. Good zone coverage skills and will have lots of playing time this year. This guy has a fast motor and like to get after the QB. Tana Patrick has sat behind top picks in the NFL for a few years but dont think he is a drop off in talent. Fast and experienced LB with good size and can cover sideline to sideline. If it was today in a basic 3-4 scheme Id go with Hubbard at Jack, Moseley and Depriest in the middle, with Nico at OLB. But they will be a fresh force with Tana Patrick, Xzavier Dickson, TF Ryan Anderson, Dillon Lee, Denzell Duvall, and Johnathon Atchison there to be no drop off backing them up. Everyone of these LB'ers mentioned I add were 4 star or 5 star out of highschool.

hey...people would read your stuff, just space it out a little better. Right now, it's just all pushed together. I tried to separate your ideas to make it more readable 0----^ ...That's the sort of "layout" that makes it easier on all the readers here, and will get you more responses and traffic... Keep up the good work!
