It's not going to happen, but let's say that we fired Grant to the praise of many on here - who do we go for that A) would take us to the level of elite 8 as realistic hopes/expectations yearly and B) would actually come here?
IMO, it would probably be a tough sell to some of the young hot shots if we fired the hot name from 4 years ago after winning (potentially) 20 games and finishing in the top 4 of the SEC, but don't let that part influence A or B. I'd like to know who the realistic big coaches are out there. I'm sure Bradley Stevens' name will get thrown in, but I'd put the chances of him coming here around the same as us beating UF.
This isn't meant to be a bash CAG thread, I just know many on here are fed up w/ Grant and want him gone yesterday - but who do we get to replace him, are there better coaches out there that would come here, or are people just so fed up with him they'd rather roll the dice with anybody else?

I want Gregg Marshall.
Took Winthrop to 7 NCAA tournaments and had some fantastic teams there. Has built Wichita into a power.
Graduated from a small school so there's not the defaul dream job out there like a Travis Ford.

Personally though, for the OP, I don't need elite 8 aspirations. I would be happy with just being one of the top 50 teams each year at this point.

Agreed - but I want to hope for the the elite 8 every season, and make the tournament regularly. That's why I labeled it hope/expectation. I already expect to be a top 50 team with the current head coach, and so far he's done that 2 out 4 times, though this season is still technically pending...
Pastnor is an interesting option, don't know if he would come to UA but it isn't inconceivable, especially after the little rift between the AD and him over UT.
I like the guy at Wichita but I admittedly don't know much about him other than they've been pretty good program and obviously beat us in the NIT.
I really like Steve Alford personally.

Grant has never beaten UF as our coach. Has beaten UK twice and I guess Vandy 1 time. I just want somebody else

On pastnor, The Memphis fans and beat writers have also openly campaigned for him to be fired.
