Belue...

  • I agree that he will be better because of this game! Go back and watch film and make corrections. I agree that the offense had a lot to do with it too. Next!!!!

  • Was it Belue that made the open field tackle on Hill that kept him in bounds at the end?

That was a key play. Belue was in great position on pass coverage much of the time. That is exactly what we want. Make the qb play perfectly to get a completion. For some reason , we were not able to pressure Mettenberger. I give their OL and blocking schemes lots of credit.

  • For those that feel Belue got whipped- look at the photos from the game. Belue is in perfect position on all of those throws. Mettenberger put the ball in perfect spots. He couldn't make those throws in practice without a defense. I was having flashbacks of Rohan Davey against us or Stephen Garcia.

They went after Belue, Perry, and Sunseri. Mett was on and they had a great passing gameplan. I haven't seen a Bama secondary carved up like that in a long time.

I haven't seen a win from a team that palyed more poorly in a long time. Why did we wait for the last 1:30sceonds to get creative with the passing game and AJ had a horrible night. We made LSU look like gods and they are simply not that good!

  • I think our secondary is good. They have depth concerns at CB, and the safeties are a bit slow against bigger, faster receivers.
But I think that LSU's o-line played an awesome game, and we weren't able to put pressure on Mett.

Thing was none of the corners were really ever out of position. Most were just really good passes. Safeties, well, there are teaching moments to put it lightly. I think you will see a lot more regular packages to keep CJ off the field. Not next week. But more than we have seen.

We need CJ on the field as much as possible, IMHO.
