I think he's talking about the beginning of the season, in which case he's right. Kansas lost 4 of their 5 starters from last season, 2 key bench players, and 2 incoming freshmen to eligibility issues. The only player who averaged more than 10 minutes a game last season was Tyshawn Taylor. They were picked by many midwest sportswriters to finish 5th in the Big 12.
And yet here they are, Big 12 champs and playing for another national championship. Self is the coach of the year.
Lebron James will never be as good as Michael Jordan, thus we should get rid of his nickname, "The King".
