Chris Vernon was talking about this on the Roundtable today.
he said the AD wants McElwain but that the AD doesn't have the power anymore as the search committee will make the hire. However, with that said the committee is considering McElwain.
I personally hope for better things for a guy that has done a tremendous job for us.

Coach Mac at Memphis is akin to Dead Coach Walking. That program has the resources to be successful but there are too many chiefs trying to run the show. I just don't think that would be a good move unless of course he was paid enough to overlook the problems. I just think he deserves better.

Agreed on all counts. Memphis had some good teams several years ago, but that's a dumpster fire right now. CJM is a smart guy & could do much much better. Also if SBB or his fuck buddy Clay Travis told me today was Tuesday, I'd have a hard time believing it.

IDK, i think memphis could be a good job if you can get those Memphis kids to stay around...some decent talent around there.
