CNS best recruiting decision...

I think it has to be playing those games in Atlanta to start the season, it has surely opened up Georgia to us recruiting wise..With Texas A&m joining the SEC i think Bama will schedule another game in Dallas in the coming years...RTR

Agree...there was something special in the air when we went to those Clemson and VA Tech games----you could just tell they meant more than just a "game"...

Underrated post here. I agree those Atlanta games were huge but CKS is the guy in Georgia. I'm not sure playing in Jerry world will have the same effect on Texas recruiting. Proximity to home was in favor of Alabama with UGA recruits relative to Texas and we are so established now. I'm sure there will be some recruiting dividends because of the exposure but I wouldn't expect Texas recruiting to rival Georgia recruiting. JMO.

IMO it was the hiring of Coach Scott Cochran. I agree about playing games in Atlanta and now in Texas but CSC helped change the mind-set and physical aspect of Alabama football. CNS is the brain trust of the program but having CSC handling the training of the mind and body is priceless. CNS is always a couple of steps ahead of any curve.

It doesn't really have anything to do with recruiting but it sure as hell does effect them once they get in the program . Cochran is IMO the second most important factor in our success after CNS .
