Poor bastards getting off the bus in Tuscaloosa will probably feel like those dumped on Omaha Beach - Unknown Vol's fan
Choose not a life of limitation
You guys are making some really good locker room material for LSU with your mighty predictions. I however, am a realist. We have not faced anything like we will face November 5th in Tuscaloosa. Remember this one phrase "speed kills". Not only are LSU's D-linemen big, but they are fast. Our O-line is still unproven in my opinion. I honestly look to see Barrett Jones at center to open the second half with Alfred McCullough at LT due to experience unless we go up early. Also, we have yet to face a secondary like we will face against LSU. Our passing game is mediocre at best and places no fear on anyone we play. In other words, they will man up on our receivers and move more people up to the line to help stop Trent and Eddie. I look for special teams to play a large part in this one. Anyone who watched the LSU and MSU game knows that the only reason MSU stayed in the game was due to field position. Our punting is atrocious and the only reason I dont use 4 letter words about that is due to the fact that there may be females reading this. How in the hell can we not get a punter who can kick more than 40 yards consistently? I look for Lester to try our D-backs early and often, as we have already proven that we are vulnerable at times. Also, keep in mind the trick plays. How many times can you remember the reverse against us when it did not work? Me either. Lastly, history has shown that we have more luck when we play them in Baton Rouge and vice versa.....I would love to jump on the 2 touchdown bandwagon, but I just dont see it. With the luck of the "Mad Hatter", I will be happy to leave BDS undefeated just like anyone else here even if it is only by one point.
Seems like every year we assume LSU is going to be this big W for us and it never is.
I like our chances against LSU, but calling for 2 TD wins? Please. When's the last time we beat LSU by 2 TDs? 2001?
Even in 09, we had to claw and fight our way to victory in that one. Last year we were the better team and still lost.
Come on guys. We can win this game. We may win it by 2 TDs, but nothing in the history of this series indicates it'll be that wide a margin. They always pull out all the stops against us. Whether its a fake FG, fake punt, or some luck deep ball pass, something always happens to keep this game closer than it should be.
