I mentioned this last Sunday night about Chris having an opportunity to come back to Bama football. It was a rumor I was hearing, (second hand info) but that has changed as this is not a rumor. Chris was asked to be a part of the staff and is trying to decide what's best for him. He is really struggling with leaving his Blount HS coaching job as he loves being around those kids. Some of those kids are begging him to stay. Will let you know if anything changes, and wish Chris nothing but the best regardless of his decision.

Hope he accepts it. Would be phenomenal for his future if he's really interested in coaching.

Chris is an incredible individual and such an intense coach. He demands perfection from his guys and is very vocal. The kids also love and respect him. I agree he would be an outstanding hire.

I can't answer this with certainty. But chris has said he wouldn't go back unless he's coaching on the field. He was assured he would.

Have heard the same thing. Chris and I communicate frequently and coach against each other. He wants to get in to college at some point. The opportunity is there.

He better jump on it! Not many coaches get the chance to start their college coaching careers learning from the best in the business. This is not Troy! This is his school which happens to have the best coach in America right now. His resume could not look better if he takes the position.

I hope he stays on the high school level because he's a great role model for the kids in his hometown and can have a greater impact molding and mentoring young men, most who will never play college football in that capacity. There aren't a lot of coaches with a background like his in most high schools like that b/c the jobs don't pay like they do at Hoover, Oxford, Prattville, etc...so I hope he stays. He'll always be welcome at Bama, but he can make a bigger impact at Blount. Whatever he decides I wish him well.
