Watching the Alamo Bowl, UW threw the ball to open up the run.
Previously, we would run to open up the pass. They also did a lot of running from shotgun/spread sets, but then they did an I-formation. It was really neat to see them go from 5-wide sets and then the next play they're in the I-formation with an H-back and a fullback pounding the ball.
But remember, UW's offense was mostly Sarkisian's.

National media always screws it up, saying Alabama and a Saban offense are run first. I agree with a lot of our posters. Everything I've seen him do and everything he has said in his time at UA and LSU leads me to believe he wants a balanced offense with explosive plays. He says that a good defense can always take away one dimension of an offense, so an offense must be balances and good through the air and on the ground. I'm excited to see what Nuss will do. Nuss or Mac, I think we will be more explosive through the air next year with AJ having a year of experience and Bell/White/Norwood/Jones having a year of experience and the RS freshman and true freshman we have coming in. I bet we throw and run about the same number of times as we have the last three years, but that we are more explosive through the air.
