College Softball WS bracket question.

How does the #1 and #2 seed have any scenario that has them playing each other in the semi-finals? If I have read and heard it right, Bama #2, plays Cal #1 to go to championships

Because each loser of the first winner's bracket game flips to the other side of the bracket. Arizona St flipped sides after we beat them and Cal flipped after Oklahoma beat them. It's odd to me as well.

I kind of like it. Keeps you from having to play the same team again until the championship series at worst. if Oklahoma wins and we do too, then we will have played four different teams in the world series. More fun that way IMO
