I would hate to loose the rivalry games. Change is always hard. Nothing we can do about it any more than we can prevent the continued conference expansions that are in the works. It all sucks.

Screw it. Let's drop UT and add UGA as our regular opponent from the east. This way they'll actually have a legitimate reason to piss and moan about Saban and Bama as we kick their ass every year. What a soft program, from the top down.
Not that the NCAA cares, but in this time of economic downturn and high unemployment, is forcing multiple layoffs really the best solution? If the NCAA were really concerned about parity, they would divide up the BCS / post season revenue equally between all 120 FBS programs. 10 fewer non-coaches on your opponent's staff won't make nearly the impact an extra $500k to $1,000,000 each year would.

Has there been any further discussion about getting a BCS waiver to dissolve divisional play, keep 2 permanent opponents and rotate out the other 6 opponents from the remaining 11 teams?
