Levi Randolph Named To CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-District First Team
Sophomore guard maintains 3.48 GPA as a marketing major
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama men's basketball sophomore guard Levi Randolph has been named to the Capital One Academic All-District 4 First Team as selected by College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), the organization announced on Thursday.
Randolph is one of 40 student-athletes who advanced to the Capital One Academic All-America Team ballot, when first, second and third-team All-America honorees will be selected in February.
Randolph joins Florida’s Patric Young, The Citadel’s Mike Groselle, Mercer’s Jakob Gollon and Stetson’s Adam Pegg on the Academic All-District 4 First Team.
A native of Madison, Ala., Randolph maintains a 3.48 GPA as a marketing major and has been named to the Dean’s List in every semester of his college career (3.1 GPA or better). As a freshman last season, Randolph was selected to the SEC First Year Academic Honor Roll.
On the court, the 6-5, 205-pound guard has been equally as impressive. Coming into Thursday night’s game against Arkansas, Randolph is third on the team in field goal percentage (.463), three-point field goal percentage (.370), assists (35), steals (21) and minutes (30.4 mpg), and ranks fourth on the squad in points (8.0 ppg) and rebounds (3.8 rpg). He has started 18 of the team’s 19 games this year and 50 of the 52 games during his two-year career at Alabama.
Randolph becomes the first Alabama men’s basketball player to earn the recognition since former standout Terrance Meade was named to the 2003 Academic All-District 4 First Team.
The Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed and are divided into eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada. This is the second year of the expanded Academic All-America® program as CoSIDA moved from recognizing a University Division (Division I) and a College Division (all non Division I) and has doubled the number of scholar-athletes honored. The expanded teams include NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II and NCAA Division III participants, while the College Division team combines NAIA, Canadian and two-year schools.

Congrats on the nomination, Levi! RTR!!!
Way to go Mr. Randolph! Roll Tide
35 minutes until tip - Coleman is pretty empty but that nothing new. Bobby Knight and Reece Davis are courtside.
30 minutes until tip. Fans slowly filtering in. Still no sign of Duron Carter.
I may drink myself into not going to work tomorrow if we drop this one
Alabama: Lacey, Releford, Gueye, Randolph, Cooper

Over / Under if we score 56 points tonight... I say just under.
Dear students: During the National Anthem please take your hats off. That includes net-heads and anything else that's fake on top of you head.
Thanks. Mini-rant over.
Coleman is abut half-full as players are being introduced.
