I wish Mal Moore the best of health. It must be serious for him to step down so soon. As to who replaces him? As of now my thoughts are with Mal, as are my prayers. Without Mal we would not have had CNS. He was wise enough to know that a lot of changes had to be made, and it would have been easy for a man his age to resist change but he didn't.
Someone mentioned a statue for him. I agree 100%.
Technically Coach Moore gets to count the rings, from gymnastics, softball, golf and any other sport while he has been AD, plus all the ones he earned in different positions in Football, so I am not sure if he might not be the most decorated AD in all of college sports. For a fun fact CMM has more NC rings Individually as a player, coach, and AD than barn does dating back to the polytechnical days. Thanks For a job well done and get well Coach Moore
Nick Saban AD/HC.
. . . unless of course the college in question is Alabama ROLL TIDE!!!
What about Jay Jacobs, I hear his name is pretty hot right now. Haha!
If not for Mal I fully believe that we would still be sitting at 12, maybe 13, but definitely not 15, not back to back NCs, not 3 in 4 years. I'm 26 and if it weren't for Mal bringing Saban to Bama I wouldn't have gotten to whitness one of the greatest runs in CFB, and know how the old timers feel when they talk about the "Bear". Have nothing but gratitude and respect for Mal, and praying for him to overcome his health issues. Get well soon Mal!
The price of victory is high, but so are the rewards.
FYI - The news that Mal was stepping down was revealed to all the coaches just before they sent out the release. When they got a message that there was going to be a meeting, a lot of them thought it was going to be a medical update. So a lot of coaches were kind of surprised that's what it was about.

Coach Moore should have been around the top paid AD's in the SEC before he stepped down. Praying he gets well
Pray for Tuscaloosa and Roll Tide!

Absolutely! He's a Bama legend.
Thanks Coach Mal Moore for all you've done. My prayers are with u and your family and I hope u have a long and prosperous retirement. ROLL TIDE CMM!!!!!!!!!!!
We owe this man so much. A gentleman, a friend, an inspirational leader. I have no idea about his replacement but I have a sneaky suspicion that in his new role he will have one direct report - Nick Saban. Mal will still be the man for football as long as Saban is the coach.
Best wishes Coach Moore and thanks for all of the hard work and accomplishments you brought to the university.
