Errors cost us both runs, it sounds like. Frustration continues.
Come on Ladies. Let's get some runs back.
Even though we have more hits (8 vs 6), costly errors and runners thrown out are costing us the game.
Still 4 -3 LSU lead.
LSU coming to bat bottom of the 6th.

I can't begin to tell y'all how frustrating it is to watch this. We should'be won this game.
Final score: LSU 4, Alabama 3
Christopher Walsh covers Alabama football for BamaOnline, 247Sports, and is the author of 18 books.
We can tell at home even without TV.
Yes, we should have won this game.
LSU gets the sweep!
We lost 3 games by one run each game, and we out hit LSU in the last 2 games.
That's my definition of frustration.
LSU clinches the SEC West title.
And that's the worst part!
Wonder how far we will fall seeding wise?
LSU also swept bama in baton rouge two years ago.
Hope the rest of your trip goes better than this weekend's games did, netny10.
At least I hope you did, or will, eat some good Cajun food.
While I am not terribly fond of LSU fans, I do love Cajun food, especially with seafood. I lived in Beaumont, TX for
5 years, and I recruited engineers from Red Stick, only 3 hours to the east. Beaumont is where I really learned to love Cajun food. Actually, I plan to make some Jambalaya in the next few days.

Probably dropped out of the national seed line.
It will take a strong finish(Kentucky then SECT) for Bama to get a national seed now.
Where's the SEC tourney this season?
Thought it was at Kentucky, but googled it just in case.
It's at UK, May 8 -11.
Hope we don't drop out of the national seeds, but you might be right. Someone already said that we likely will not play at home for the Super Regional this year. Every remaining game is critical.
By the way, after much thought, I am making Jambalaya with shrimp, sausage, and scallops for supper tonight.
It won't help my frustration level with the game, but we will enjoy it.
This team has been a big disappointment pre season favorites to win the SEC now sitting at 12-9 at lot glaring weakness on this team and for the future some players are not producing at all either on offense or defense people can talk about the team being young but that just making excuses maybe some of these players are not SEC caliber players. Murphy has made some bone head decisions this year during games.
My very non-expert analysis
-After the first four batters, the rest of the batting order has contributed very little.
-We leave an inordinate number of runners stranded.
-Our infield defense is atrocious. It was probably poor last year, but our first baseman saved a lot of bad throws. This year's first basemen are fair defensively, whereas Cassie was one of the best I've ever seen.
-For whatever reason, Jackie is not as effective as she was last year.
-Mainly, we graduated our catcher, first baseman, right fielder, center fielder, all of them stars, and our third baseman of the last three years has been stricken with mono all year.
It is always easy to point a finger at the coach, but as Gene Stallings famously said, "If I listen to the folks in the bleachers, I'll soon be up there with them."
I just feel bad for the seniors. Without a sweep next weekend and a great showing at the SEC tourney we won't host SR. By great I mean championship game.
Can't disagree with you, netny10. It really is unfortunate for the seniors. The team has not come together as well as any of us had hoped.
I also have to agree with most of what Tommy2 said, though not all. He makes some good points.
Can't agree with bamahall on our players not being SEC caliber. They have frustrated us by not pulling out several of the close games due to lack of a key hit, an infield error, or getting thrown out and taking us out of an inning. They are young and are clearly not the dominant team we had last year, and they may not make the WCWS. The criticism by bamahall sounds like some of our negative, so called basketball fans. That's not someone who really supports our softball team or we would have heard from them more often earlier in the season IMHO.
They are still good players on a good team and we will support them. Again, they are young and we will root for them and hope that they come back better next year. Roll Tide Ladies!
Like it or not this is a very young team. Jackie pitched well this season. Today for example she only gave up 2 earned runs, struck out 4 and walked no one. That should be good enough to win. I agree that the bottom of the line-up has to hit more. Personally, I would like to see someone else at first. Perhaps let Branham play first or try Conley or Hunt there. Today was probably the worst coached game I've ever seen from CPM. He ran us out of 2 potentially big innings. He killed the momentum in both of those innings when the players were creating it with hits. We are hurting at the 2 positions I most worried about coming into this season and that's catcher and 1st. CRB, was the best defensive 1st baseman in the country hands down and we definitely feel her loss this season. I also think expectations to be as good as we were last season were a little unrealistic. I admit I had mine a little too high as well. Do I think we can still make it to OKC? It's a possibility, but someone else has to step up. Right now several girls look like they're playing scared and that's not good. It's time for the team to put their "big girl panties on" and win these next 3.

Jackie is pitching well but does not seem to be as dominant as last year. She is not getting the run support or defense that she deserves. I met the Iowa pitcher and catcher in Iowa City after they lost 2 games to BAMA, and they say she lost weight and is not as overpowering as last year. Maybe that was their scouting report, because I wanted to, but did not ask why they didn't do better in 2 games against her. I've been wanting to ask all year, did she lose some of her power after her weight loss.
Leslie is also pitching well, and again, she is not getting the run support or defense that she deserves. She is actually pitching very well currently. I am excited about our pitching next year.
Not sure where the team is headed the rest of this year. This will be a tough week for them to deal with the 3 close loses this weekend; they got swept and shouldn't have! Remember, we outhit LSU in the last 2 games, but got little to show for it.
We lost because of errors and runners being thrown out.
Where's BB2One today?
Gary, I heard Jackie lost about 30 pounds. That may have a little to do with her pitching this year. One thing to remember is that she has more film than probably any other SEC pitcher simply bc she has been on TV more. When Steph was pitching here she lost a lot of weight and it made her less powerful. So put that weight back on and she was back to her old self. Honestly though I think the reason she has more losses is lack of run support. How many losses have she and LJ had where they only gave up 2 runs? The last 4 losses were all by 1 run and in all 4 games it wasn't pitching that was the problem. Braud and McCleney couldn't have done much more than they did this weekend. The rest of the bats have to help out.
Having seen the team play about 10 times this year, it is more than just the errors-it is the lack of range in this year's infield and the times where CRB bailed the infielders out last year that isn't happening as often this year. Still hoping that they can finish strong and maybe still get a SR.
A poster on another board said that this year's softball team reminded him very much
of the 2010 football team. Interesting idea.
groglson, I'm a very knowledgable softball fan I make very factful observations about about this team u can keep pumping sunshine however u want it you would be a kind of coach who would be 0-29 and find good things to say about the team. Murphy recuirts a certain type of player to fit what he likes and sometimes that leads to not the most talented player. And when you talk about feeling sorry for the seniors that's part of the problem ther all sitting over there on the bench during the game not playing u get my drift. And before u say I don't know what I'm talking about season ticket holder for 10 yrs. grew up in California around softball best friend coaches the best gold team in Northern Calif.
