No worries - it's a live thread. My thought process at times is going to be a little different from how it comes across to those reading. Didn't even realize I had done that.
Christopher Walsh covers Alabama football for BamaOnline, 247Sports, and is the author of 18 books.
Dee Milliner getting snubbed for the Thorpe award was a travesty. Mayock talking about Banks getting abused against Bama this year.
This. is. so. true.
Ok, now compare Milliner's time against the top players last year -- from last night's story:
2012 NFL Combine 40 times
Morris Claiborne, LSU, 4.50
Stephon Gilmore, South Carolina, 4.40
Dre Kirkpatrick, Alabama, 4.51
Janoris Jenkins, North Alabama, 4.46
Josh Robinson, Central Florida. 4.33
For those of you who saw the Milliner vs. Kirkpatrick thread last week, we might have just seen the tiebreaker.
Lester's second go: 4.69 unofficial
The way most of those awards are awarded is terribly flawed. I mean Teo almost won the heisman.
Honey Badger take II: 4.50
That's a good time for him.
BTW, Milliner's unofficial time is the second fastest of the entire Combine.
When will they give us his official time? Can't believe people were questioning his speed....lol
Milliner's second run: 4.37
Official times announced after everyone runs -- in other words after the other group of defensive backs run.
Todd McShay tweet: CB Dee Milliner timed at 4.29 by scout that just texted me.
I wish they would show the split with banks and DM. They one where they have both of them running together. DM prolly 4 yards ahead
Yeah but let's see him race Sandcastle
Dee is making him a little money at the combine.
1. Critics questioned his speed.
2. Dee said watch the combine.
3. Dee says I'm the best CB.
4. Dee blisters the CB group with a great 40 time.
5. Dee backs up his statements that now come off as confident and not as cocky as prior to his run...cocky and confident are characteristics of a great corner.
6. More drills to come that will wow everyone...stay tuned.

NFL CB Combine 5 -Year Average
CB 5-11 193.2 31½ Arm 9⅛ Hand, Bench15.5, 4.55 Forty, Vert 35,10-1 Broad, 4.17 20 Shuttle, 6.90 3-Cone
Dee will be changing his last name to Sandcastle after today.
good to see dee put the icing on the cake....no need for pro day, let alone a second or third run at the combine
Anyone else wig out over some of the infomercials they are playing on the NFL Combine channel.
The "pocket hose" freaks me out about the same as the sham-wow. Pocket hose sounds like a fitting nickname to one of my high school friends.
Chris, did Hightower run around a mid 4.6 and Upshaw around a 4.7? Just trying to put his time in perspective.
The price of victory is high, but so are the rewards.
Spot on, still can't believe it.
Hightower ran 4.68 at the Combine
Upshaw ran 4.74 on Pro Day.
Phelon Jones last year 4.65 seconds
Jerrell Harris 4.81 seconds
DeQuan Menzie 4.74 at the Combine.
Have a Day Dee Milliner!
was hoping Lester would do better than that...
